I''ve been asked to work our company''s open house tomorrow. I will be greeting people as they come in, handing out applications, and escorting applicants to interviews.

My boss gave me a pastel pink polo shirt with our company logo to wear to the event. Since the shirt is so casual, what do I wear with it?

A nice pair of khakis and short heeled thong sandals. That''s kinda my daily uniform!

Three or four times a year I have to wear a corporate polo like the rest of the guys for an event.
They always tell everyone to wear khaki/stone colored pants.
So I always wear a khaki/stone colored skirt in a pressed cotton or light denim fabric.

Can''t get more classic than a pair of khakis with a polo shirt!

I''m going to go a little different and say maybe a just past the knee heather grey business like skirt. Love the combo of pastel pink & grey!

Ditto.

Thank you all for your suggestions!

Ugh.

I just tried on my shirt and it''s very ill fitting!

It''s super tight and long. Gosh, I hope I don''t look obscene! The "girls" really stick out there

My boss gave me the next size up to take home, in case I decide to go with the larger size, but it''s tight too and the sleeves are long and loose. I hate feeling frumpy and uncomfortable.

As far as the bottom half ~

I don''t own a pair of khaki pants (I know, I know), but I do own a grey pencil skirt, so I guess I''ll go that route - at least I''ll try. I''m afraid that once I tuck the shirt it, the skirt will be bulgy.

Well, if all else fails - jeans.

Do you have a cute blazer you can wear over it if it is too tight so you don't feel uncomfortable or call and ask if they have bigger sizes?

I would go with Khakis I love that color combo

If the skirt looks too bulgy with the polo tucked in, just go the jeans route and try to dress up the ensemble with heels and a cute belt, polo tucked into jeans. HTH!

I''m thinking a pair of white jeans with some nice shoes could work with the pink.

In college, my sorority had pastel pink polos that we had to wear for rush events. Once we wore them with black pants or capris or gauchos or skirts and pearls. It sounds like a lot of contrast, but it looked cute w/the whole group like that. Often we went for nice jeans and change up the look with either heels and pearls or some other types of accessories (silver pendants). Once we did khaki. Another time we tried out grey. Polos can be made to work with just about anything I think.

Do you have to return the shirt? If it were me, I''d have it hemmed and wear a cami under it that hung out a little for a contrasty-layered look and put it with jeans.

Thanks all, for your replies!

It was very windy in Houston on Friday, and pretty darn chilly too. I ended up wearing dark navy Ann Taylor jeans and a black blazer that I had in the car cuz I was so cold! BRRRRRRRRR!!
