I have my original engagement ring of about 1/7th of a carat that has some of the most amazing brilliance/fire i''ve ever seen in such a small diamond and my 2 year anniversary upgrade that is aproximately 1/4th carat. Both are marquiese cuts and neither are certified. Trading in is not an option. I''m thinking of having them re-set. I also have 2 small round brillants from family herilooms as well that I''d like to incorporate. Those are basicallly diamond chips.

Maybe incorporate the 5x7 red/oraange fire opal I have?

Thanks in advance

I can post pictures this weekend if that will help?.

How about designing a small delicate pendant? You could wear them all the time then?

its an idea :) thanks.

I used my original 18 point e-ring diamond as an accent stone for a colored stone pendant. I couldn''t think of any other use for such a small diamond. I took my stones to a local designer and she worked out an amazing design. A talented designer should be able to work your stones into an attractive piece.

Hi. That is about the same size as my original diamond. I had it mounted inside of an open heart pendant and I really like it. I found the mount at a remount sale at a mall jewelers.

What about bezel setting them individually and wearing them in a stack?

Something akin to the rings in this photo ArjunaJ posted awhile ago. Very cool!

I remember your project, marcy. Very pretty necklace. That''s pretty much the same idea, the diamond adds a bit of bling to a pendant. I felt that my small diamond wasn''t worth matching for studs, it was smaller than I wanted for a standalone pendant, and even if I had a trade-in policy, wasn''t worth much for that, either. Once the stone gets above 25 points, I think there are more possibilities.

I took my org ering of 18 points and had an earring made for my hubby

that way i can see it everyday

would marquiese look ok in a pendant? I wish I could post photos but unfortunately three of the items are in my safe box atm.

I love that band...awesome photo.

Coati, I like the stackable rings; they look pretty.
Fly Girl, thank you. I remember your pretty aqua pendant too. My diamond only worked because the heart was big enough to work as a stand alone piece but it''s nice we can still wear our original diamonds.
Rparker, doing something in a pendant like Fly Girl where you add it to a gemstone might work. It could be something like a snowman pendant with your 2 diamonds and a gemstone in between them.

try this?...no sorry...I can't figure out how to get it...but once at You Tube...try typing in..."eat glass..."
