I bought a lovely spinel from Yavorskyy a couple of months ago and am now being very indecisive about how to set it. I’d like a RHR and want something robust, so not lots of tiny diamonds in the setting, and not a 3 stone (have 2 of those already). It’s only about 6x5.5 mm, do you think that’s enough to stand alone? I’m not really a “big ring” person anyhow.
Here‘s the stone,
and here’s an inspiration setting I like, not sure how you’d describe it, I’m thinking of using the centre bit only (for reference the stone in the photo is 7.3mm ish). I think the setting has a white gold head and a yellow gold shank.
