what to do w/ used settings?

Hi everyone! I know there are quite a few who have upgraded to different settings. What do you do with your old settings? Can they be sold and if so where? I am thinking about replacing my current setting, but I hate to set it aside and not get anything for it.

I've sold two (a Mark Morrell and a Maytal) on a third party diamond and jewelry classifieds. I don't think we're allowed to name it because it also deals in sims. The site claims they are 'Better than diamond' so there's a hint if you want to do some searching

Be prepared to get less than half the original purchase price though. Still if you'll never wear the setting again, half is better than nothing right?

I learned the hard way don't post hints Anyway, you could also see if there are any consignment shops or put a pretty colored stone in it

Used settings do sell pretty quickly on many sites, in fact, I am on the hunt for a neat size nine setting to put a colored stone in as a gift for my boyfriend's mother.
This is a good time of year to list on jewelry classifieds, folks like me like to get the Christmas shopping done early.
