I really don''t think that ''most people'' like black licorice, either!!
When I was a kid, I loved black licorice, but now don't like the taste. My kids will ask me what it tastes like, and I'll tell them, "it's gross," and redirect them OUT of the candy aisle. ( So, that means next time they see it, they'll again ask what it tastes like and be given the same answer.)Date: 7/31/2009 5:15:57 PM

I HATE blueberries. I hate how they look, how they smell, how they feel, and especially how they taste. Charbie, you''re the first person I''ve encountered who also hates them! Everyone is always trying to tell me how wonderful they are, but they seriously make me gag. Ew. I feel sick just thinking about them right now! I''m not a fan of blackberries either, so any mixed-berry-flavored foods are out.
Other dislikes on my (long) list:
Chicken
Turkey
Almost all alcohol
Loud concerts (I swear my ears were bleeding after AC/DC--never again!)
Popcorn and that icky popcorn smell at the movie theater

hi atroop
no - we leave on monday - and we''re running around like headless chickens at the moment! i just got back from 3 hours i the hair dresser. *sigh*
i have finally - FINALLY - finished putting together the photo albums for the party. this was a nightmare as we have stuff scattered in storage all around the world..well...on 3 different continents...so getting together a coherent historical pictorial of the 2 of us was a mammoth undertaking. got it done int he end, tho, largely by dint of inconveniencing all sorts of people - yay.![]()
have lined up suitable outfits to wear, gifts for all the major players, a minister (who is a very close friend of mine) to conduct the service, a cake tasting as soon as i get off the plane (i''ll bet it all just tastes like COUCH), i''ve hired serving equipment, ordered the alcohol, liaised with every member of my family, the florist...i mean, it just goes on and on!
so i''ve been a tad out of action! going to start packing this evening tho, and tomorrow do housework so the house is left in decent order to return to. and then on sunday i''m putting up my feet. phew!
and when we do lunch...french? italian? asian? a couple of glasses of wine?? i suspect you might know a few nice places to go for lunch but, failing that, i vote for afternoon tea at the new ritz carlton at battery park. YUM.![]()
I hate it when the person in the row behind me puts his/her foot on my arm rest. I don''t think anyone likes this.Date: 7/31/2009 5:22:31 PM

Sushi! I keep trying it every so often, willing myself to like it. But I can''t! I don''t know why!
Licorice, ew!
Root beer.
Going to the movies...paying $20 to sit in an uncomfortable chair next to a smelly guy (not FI, the other side) with a kid kicking my chair? No thanks.![]()

I can totally see why people think it''s amazing--I have tried to watch and like it, but I just can''t handle the suspense/violence. My DH absolutely loves it, but I make him watch with headphones because even listening to it makes me kind of anxious.Date: 7/31/2009 5:22:38 PM

BITE YOUR TONGUE....''24'' is AMAZING![]()
This list cracks me up, it's so specific. I somehow feel there is a Thelma and Louis type story behind this, where you are slow dancing to emotive music at a mexican bar, get in trouble by killing the sport commentator harrassing you. You have to escape to the wilderness where you survive by eating your chapstick with sunscreen, warm energy drink, and purell. You end up walking to Las Vegas (I know, it's not on the list but half the people listed it) where you try to blend into a loud rock concert still wearing your outdoor gear where someone recognizes you and you have to run for it, but not before a drunk music fan throws up the remains of his turkey and chicken laded buffet on you. Oops I forgot the blueberries but you get the idea.Date: 7/31/2009 2:04:45 PM

Cilantro- tastes like old kitchen sponge
Star Wars (gasp!)
Totally, cilantro is wonderful and so refreshing. My DH hates it too and so I never buy it because it seems silly to buy one extra ingredient for salsa if only on person is going to enjoy it! Maybe I should grow some next year.Date: 7/31/2009 7:27:38 PM

Moh, buy a seam ripper. Way better than using a razor blade to remove embroidered logos. Possibly more time-consuming, but less risk of actually damaging the fabric underneath the embroidery.Date: 7/31/2009 8:11:17 PM

Oh I can''t stand clothing with logos.
I will not be a walking billboard unless they mail me checks.
I buy clothes a the thrift store all the time.
I''ll carefully remove that guy on the horse playing polo with a new razor blade.
