What should I do? Questions...

I found a diamond and will most likely be purchasing it from the folks at GOG. The setting I want and like is:

http://www.sholdtdesign.com/Rings.htm and it''s the R382-PD (part of the Fremont collection).

So my questions are:

1) Where is the best (cheapest?) place to get this ring?
2) Should I sent it to GOG to get the ring and diamond set, or should I send the diamond to wherever I purchase the ring to get it set?
3) OR, should I receive both and have someone local to me (I live in Mountain View, CA) set it? I don''t know of a top notch local jeweler.
4) Does anyone know if these euro-style shanks fit the same as regular shanks, i.e. if she''s a 5.5 in the regular ring, would she be a 5.5 in this style?

I can''t answer 1.

The best option is highlighted, provided GOG approves the setting. Ask first!

Not positive, but my "guess" is, the Euro would be the same size as regular.

Hi Brilyant,
I too am looking at getting a stone from GOG and love the Sholdt designs - you have great taste!

I don''t have many answers for you, as I live O''/S''s, but more wanted to ask have you made up your mind where to have the stone set?
I am currently facing the same dilemma, although i will most likely be getting a Jaffe setting from pearlmans.
