So, I'm home on Saturday night nursing my upset stomach (think might have been our Thai dinner last night or the lunch that hubby prepared earlier on, either way, it's not fun!
), and am finding myself seriously considering what to do about my 3.50ct H Si2 micropave pear ring as well as my pear jackets.
I haven't worn either for a while - the pear jackets because they're now too small for my fab BGD 4.649tcw studs and the pear ring because sometimes I can see a teeny weensy tiny tinge in certain lightings and also again a teeny weensy tiny bow tie sometimes. I do wonder though if it's really all in my head!
Anyway, I've thought of several options and would appreciate your input. Most of them would involve returning the pears (just the stones) to JA and thus I'd lose the money spent on the gorgeous LM setting
and also that on the pear jacket setting. I keep yearning for another stone, perhaps one of GOG fab old mine cushions or a larger RB. Another alternative is to trade the pears in with JA for a smaller RB (with higher specs, something like an F-G colour, VS1-VS2 clarity) to set into a three-stone ring with my existing two 1-caraters of G VVS1 specs. If I upgrade with JA, I will not lose any money off the purchase price but if I sell them back to JA for cash, I will lose some money off the purchase price in addition to wasting all settings.
So, here are the options, please help me pick one and if possible, pls let me know your thoughts and comments. Thanks very much.
ETA: Oh dear, I've done something silly! The poll button seems to have disappeared! I will msg Admin and see if they can fix it.
Anyway, the options are:
1) Keep the pear jackets and the ring, you'd lose so much money!
2) Trade both in for a 2.50ct-ish ideal cut RB to set into a three-stone ring with my existing two 1-caraters
3) Sell the stones back to JA for cash and take the money to put towards a larger RB or a GOG cushion in the future
4) Trade them in with JA for a fab pair of earrings and upgrade my existing BGD studs to a 4.5ct RB with BGD
