I should say, I have zero plan to buy this because the optical effect of a hole in the middle is very offputting. I was just surprised to see such an odd cut and wondered what it was
I did check that and I think not a Brabant as even that shows a top row of shallow facets. This is just flat where the top facets would be. The table also unhelpfully showcases a very obvious flaw which you'd see every time you looked down!Looks like a specialty rose cut..Brabant. http://www.thediamondcuts.com/rose-cut-diamond.html
That's odd! Altho, I'm on my phone atm and the hyperlinked text isn't very differently distinguished from the plain text around it - I linked off the "this ring" rather than putting the URL in but it has made it less obvious I'm sorryinteresting. I have no answer as to name of that cut. As an FYI, i can not see a link in your original post on either my work or home computer, but it seems others can..........
so I was looking at antique rings as you do and saw this ring and I don't know what cut the centre stone is - it says rose cut but do you get rose cuts like this? I thought they didn't have a table but this does..
