I''m kinda poor at the moment so i buy canned soup in bulk when they are cheap. My favourite so far is the Campbell''s chicken soup.

Although when i get the chance i make my own chicken soup and that is WAY better.

I down lipton spring veggie by the carton. It''s got soo much salt, but I just can''t keep myself away...

Campbell''s Tomato

Campbell''s tomato made with milk and a touch of chili flakes, served with chunks of cheese thrown in...

Or bean with bacon made with milk... especially if I brown up some chunks of sausage first and then make the soup in the same pan...

I practically live on homemade soups in the winter, but I''m not too proud to open a can from time to time!

Campbell''s Chicken and Stars....YUM!

I know that I already answered, but as I read through I see that people like the tomato alot. One of the things that I really loved as a teenager was tomato soup with bite size ritz cheddar cheese cracker sandwiches. I would put a handful in the soup and it was soooo good. I am not sure if they make the ritz bits sandwiches anymore, but now I am starving just thinking abou it.

If money is tight, you should try making more of your own soup. It is very yummy & can be very inexpensive.

When we cook chicken, I have B take all of the bones out and I freeze them. They make great stock for soups. Just simmer the bones for a few hours and get a big pot of chicken broth. I don''t add anything to the pot. Just the bones and water.

This makes a great base for lemon chicken soup (3 eggs, 1/2 cup of rice, and 1/4 cup lemon juice + chicken broth), butternut squash soup (2 butternut squash, some dried rosemarry & cardomom, 1 onion + chicken broth), and more.
I can make a big pot of soup that lasts for 3+ days (6 meals for the 2 of us) for well under $10.

Each pot of broth usually makes about 2 big pots of soup.

Cambells Tomato soup with a grilled cheese sandwhich!! Yummmm.

Campbell''s chunky beef vegetable is edible.

Is that Habitant (sp) Pea Soup? Love that too...but don''t get it often since I''m in Michigan.

I also love tomato soups and Progresso Lentil soup, very hearty and tasty.

Any of the Bookbinders seafood, lobster, or crab bisques or New England clam chowder.

If I make my own crab soup, I use 1 can Campbell''s tomato soup, 1 can Campbell''s cream of mushroom, 1 to 2 cans crab meat ( I use Ace of Diamonds), plus add milk (fill one empty soup can) and mix and heat thoroughly (if you like you can add some dry sherry to the soup a couple of minutes before you take it off the heat).

I prefer to make my own soup, but the above works in a pinch. Can''t wait for Thanksgiving and the post holiday turkey soup loaded with veggies!!! Yum.

For those of you who like tomato soup you HAVE to try my favorite one. Its super yummy and I think its a lot healthier than the cambells one.

Its V8 Tomato Herb.http://www.campbellsv8soup.com/TomatoHerb.aspx

Not quite as creamy as the cambells but stil really good. I''ve also had the butternut squash flavor which is good but VERY thick. Sweet red pepper and the southwest corn are yummy too (ive never had broccoli or mixed veggie) the corn is a bit spicy so if you don''t like spicy foods then I wouldn''t get it.

These soups are a little more expensive than cambells but even when I was a poor college student I thought they were worth it.

The ones in the box aren''t so bad. There is one called Pacific Harvest, I think, and Campbell''s makes one.
They have Butternut squash and Roasted Red Pepper.
I was looking for the Butternut Squash in a box but my Target didn''t have it. Will try again when I get to a "real" grocery store. It got a write up in some magazine this month I think. Something triggered me to look for it. Real Simple maybe - or O?

Got a couple of cans -- Tuscan Bean & Chunky Chicken Corn Chowder but haven''t eaten it yet. WARNING: do not buy Target brand string cheese. YUCKO. Aftertaste! However the Sugar Cookie flavored yogurt is worth looking into.

deco, try Trader Joe''s if you''ve got one. They''ve got all the boxed soups for like $2.99 a box...and cheaper for broths!
