Isn''t favorite canned soup and oxymoron?

Campbell''s Chicken Gumbo... yum, yum, yum!

good ol' campbell chicken soup. However, if not canned, I make my own chinese soup, and love it with Rice, so that is my favorite

That''s what I was thinking!

I like the Healthy Harvest soups, there is one in particular that is "Italian" something that is rice with herbs veggies and meatballs?

shop rite brand cream of mushroom...so yummy...and vegetarian vegetable is a close second

andersens split pea! Not as good as the fresh stuff at the restaurant, but it''s not easy to get to lol

Well, my lovely mum makes the best homemade soups...but, since I don't live at home anymore, and only get 1 of her delicious home-cooked meals every Sunday

....

I'll have to go with:

Habitant French Canadian Pea Soup - served in an individual mini sourdough bread bowl

Sara - is that the restaurant in California? If so - I loved that place! We always stopped in there every year on our family vacations down the California coast

My fave soup is split pea and ham. Or tomato w/ grilled cheese.

I didn't even own a can opener till someone gave me a fancy one for Christmas a couple years ago.
But I realize I'm spoiled living in Southern California with its generous year-around supply of fresh fruits and veges.

Yes! It is a MUST stop whenever we pass by, which really isn''t very often at all. I''ve been going there since I was really little. It''s nice to find the soup in the soup aisle now, though it isn''t as good.

I didn''t even own a can opener till someone gave me a fancy European one for Christmas a couple years ago.

I love homemade soups. So yummy and the house smells great as they cook.
That canned stuff is NOT soup.

Frozen veggies can make an okay substitute for fresh (depending on the veggie).

I switch my soups to match what is in season. Now is butternut squash soup. Summer is perfect for chicken & veggie, beef & veggie, Veggie, roasted tomato, ....

Beef burginion (yes, I butchered the spelling) is great pretty much year round. Carrots, potatoes, and mushrooms are pretty easy to find anytime.
Same thing with chile, Greek lemon chicken soup, and French onion.

Weight watchers tomato soup

Soup in cans?? Why would someone DO that?? Sacrilege.

My favorite soup in the homemade tomato soup my husband makes for me when I feel cruddy. HE doesn''t even like it, but he fixes it for me. Lots of garlic and fresh thyme. Mmmm!!

tomato with swiss and wholewheat grilled

Mmmmm...soup.

Campbell''s Tomato soup...made with milk...with a grilled cheese, or Progresso Black Bean soup with a dollop of Sour Cream!

(But homemade anything is better, lol!)

Campbells Bean with Ham

It''s not canned, and on the wrong side of the pond from most of you guys, but can''t beat Avonmore cartons! Yum.

Bear Creek makes great soups! They aren''t in a can, but in a bag. Just add water. Yummy!

I just made a 1/2 gallon of cheddar potato...added some bacon bits and chives in there to make it more like homemade, and i''ll get to take to work all week for lunch- only $4.00!

Most canned soup is mediocre, but the Campbell''s Chunky Clam Chowder isn''t too awful.

Just about anything Campbell''s, I''m not a fan of Progresso or non-condensed soups, they all taste slimy to me.
Favorite Campbell''s flavors are:
Chicken noodle
Tomato
Italian Wedding
Vegtable Beef Soup

Yuck. None.

I agree - none! I can't stand canned soup, although sometimes Campbell's chicken noodle (the original condensed) is the only thing I can keep down when I'm ill. It's somewhat comforting, as it's what my mom gave us as kids when we were sick. Other than that, I won't touch it.

My hubby LOVES canned soup for the convenience, so we always have it around the house. He prefers the Chunky beef and veggie soups from Campbells.

The ones in the box aren''t so bad. There is one called Pacific Harvest, I think, and Campbell''s makes one.
They have Butternut squash and Roasted Red Pepper.
True, they don''t taste like home cooking. However, when you are sick, or in a crunch for a lunch to take to work, they are great.

Tomato and rice, which is virtually impossible to find.

I''d rather eat cardboard - well perhaps that''s a bit of an exaggeration. The Cheesecake Factory in The Grove, LA, does lovely soup

Wolfgang Puck''s canned soups are really good, actually! I often eat them at work. My favorite ones are the tortilla and corn chowder--yum!

Bleh!

Ditto Haven and Toopatient, I detest canned soups with a passion. Its mine, or none.
