Very excited just received this for my birthday
http://geo-tools.com/lens.htm so I have been spending the last 20 or so minutes trying to locate inclusions and the laser inscription in my ring and officially have a happy headache
.

As for what I have found:
Inclusions: Still can''t find the buggers.
Inscription: If I am in my bedroom near natural light hold my tongue and head just the right way I can make out a few numbers
, I can''t see it at all in fluro office lighting however FI can.

Also how easy is it to use a loupe to spot inclusions in jewellery store lighting?

light from the side of the diamond makes them easier to see.

I have the exact same loupe, and I can''t see all of the inclusions clearly at the same time because they are at different depths. I know this doesn''t answer your question about lighting, though. My jeweler doesn''t have the uber-lighting that some other stores have, just fluorescent and some kind of halogen, I think. I have seen inclusions in various diamonds just fine.
