    Yes, there really are black diamonds. They are very heavily included, and they are used more for a accent stones than as a major gem stone. Don't get me wrong, you can buy these in larger sizes, but most are fairly small.They sort of look like a piece on hematite. Hematite is a opaque mineral that exhibits dark gray to black color with a metallic luster (not always).------------------
