What exactly is a modern cut DK Cushion?

I''ve been looking through some of the cushion related threads about what to look for in a cushion cut stone. I keep seeing references to modern DK cut cushions that have EX/EX in polish and symmetry being the best in terms of briliance.

Anyone have any thoughts? Are they exclusive to ERD?

it's my understanding that the folks that supply the DK cushions for his settings only cut ex/ex. you can't buy the setting without his stone but I do know ERD and Pearlmans can get just the stones in. Not sure about anyone else. I don't have a picture of a plot on his stones, hopefully an expert can chime in and help out.

they are possitively droolworthy stones to me though. here's a picture of one in the split crown setting.
