Hey!

I recently saw this setting and loved it, the centre was an Asscher cut diamond...What do you think? Part of me thinks it''s a bit clunky and should get something more delicate....honest thoughts appreciated.

I am agreeing with you, I think, that it looks a bit "clunky" for my taste. It''s not ugly or anything, just not for me :)

It''s got kind of a Sasha Primak-esque vibe with the baguette-ish halo, but mixing that in with the rounds makes it feel really cluttered to me. It''s like Sasha Primak had a baby with the Daniel K. Rosebud setting.

I hope that isn''t too snarky - it''s just that I can never resist a straight line. That said, if you like this but feel it''s cluttered, those are two designers whom you might really like ....

I think it''s very pretty but there''s alot going on there. My opinion is that you might tire of all of that activity after a few years.

I think it would be really great if the center didn''t have a halo and was just a big mammoo asscher!

I prefer simpler settings, but I have to agree with ts44, just the band with a big honkin assher would be stunning.

Alternately, I''d like just the halo on a plain, thinner, band...

I think it would look better with just a solitaire asscher in the center without the halo or a much thinner band.

My main concern is that the band is too chunky, I want a halo setting but maybe this is overcomplicated although i thought it was quite unique...! It does look a lot better in person though and i found this pic of someones ring which is quite similar, looks nicer with the thinner band, however I may have to rethink this and go for something more classic!

Personally I like the 2nd setting you posted. The first one is chunky all over and with that stone in the center it even looks like way too much. I also don''t like the abrupt end of the diamonds as it goes towards the center stone. Honestly it looks kind of ''cheap'' because of that to me.

Ooh yes with the thinner band I like it a lot more. The halo is not as obtrusive in real life as it looks in the closeup for sure, it looks very pretty on the finger. With the thinner band it''s something that would definitely catch my eye.

You''re so right, I thought that too, and that store is not cheap in price unfortunatley! :-( I do like the centre. I''m contemplating getting it with a plain thinner band, if thats possible. We''ll see.... I also don''t like the claws on the centre stone!

Yes, but... OP could just tie that big mammoo asscher to a rubber band and wear it around and that would be great, too!

But then, I have developed an asscher crush recently.

Mani5ha - this looks like the same setting that you posted earlier? I still think it's too busy for an all-day every-day ring... the version with the thinner band looks more classic, somehow.
