Been looking for a honker (within budget, of course) for the Mrs. 20 years of wedded bliss is going to be upon us soon. From what I know (or the little that I know) HPHT is the way to go vs CVD (all things considered). So came across this gem (pun intended) of a piece. Well, maybe it is not a gem but really would like y'all to opine and let me know........

Thanks in advance. You all are amazing people!

I would avoid that vendor.

In addition to what the others said about the vendor, this stone has some blue nuance. I also prefer pavilion angles of 40.6-40.9, though this stone is actually cut decently.

Thank you.

Any think else you are seeing in the 6-7 ct range - ideally under $20k, from a reputable vendor.

It has been sooooo long since I looked for a diamond

Ran a Holloway - only because someone once in a forum said that we should. This is what it is showing for the 6.2.

Yep, no issues there.

I found another stone and ran the HCA. Unfortunately, I closed all my tabs and lost the website that I got the this stone from (I was looking at like 6-7 different sites). Going to go back and look to see if I can find the details on this.

But by looking at the HCA, for now, can you opine on this stone??

It definitely has potential. We'd need to see a magnified video to tell you more. What's the crown angle and table size?

What was the symmetry on this stone?

Hello and welcome to PriceScope, tofab50773!

Unfortunately, it has some cut precision problems: looks to have an uneven pavilion and some twist.

The 6.0 is gone. So now I am back to the 6.2, Trying to see if I can find something a little smaller (i.e., cheaper).

Any other suggestion y'all?

Slim pickings under $20K at this size. The 6.2 is the best I've found.

Kim N do you see any subtle blue nuance in this one above?
I keep going going back and forth in my mind.

I'm leaning no, but it's borderline to my eyes too.

Thank you, Kim. I'm 99% certain that it's a Type IIa, but I needed assurance for that last 1%.

Will try and get the stone to get checked out. Thank you!!!!

I like it!
