This is a GoodOldGold stone and is a cushion brilliant.

I had a lot of trouble attaching images so here is the link:

Cushion 1.61 I VVS2

Here are the details.

Shape and Cutting Style: Cushion Brilliant
Carat Weight: 1.61 ct
Color: I
Clarity: VVS2
Polish: Excellent
Symmetry: Excellent
Measurements: 7.23 X 6.94 X 4.55mm
Table%: 58.89%
Depth%: 65.96%
Crown Depth: 16.59%
Pavilion Depth: 44.77%

I don''t know much about cushions, but it looks very pretty to me. However, I personally rather have higher color and lower clarity than this stone because warmth starts to get noticeable in the I range in fancy cuts.

I''m no expert either...but I''d prob go for a higher colour and smaller table. I do like the wee open culet - that is attractive to me.

I think your eyes and heart will guide you better than I could.

I''m not sure your criteria vs budget, but for the price...it''s not bad

I have thought about the color issue, but to the naked it eye it appears white. Likewise, as far as the table goes an ideal cut has a table near the mid 50's and a depth near the mid 60's from what research I've done so this one is right in the ball park. Likewise, the excellent on the polish and the symmetry coupled with the fact that it's a cushion brilliant with facets and pavilions cut like a round make it really sparkle.

I wish I had time to go see it in person, but the video that Jon put together for me showed how amazing the stone looked in terms of it's optics and sparkle. It stood up to the princess cuts he had beside it for sure.

I bet the "I" color is probably GORGEOUS in that stone, too! YUM-O! Just a sniff of a whiff of the tiniest bit of warmth that probably gives it a little "vintage" look plus killer depth of fire and sparkle.

I LURVE IT!

I think it''s beautiful and if I had not specifically been holding myself to G or better color, I probably would have snatched it.
