i prefer E the most but with a different head. not liking how there is an obvious separation btwn the head and the shank. IMO it looks as if the head was an afterthought and just plopped on the top. i also REALLY like the settings that Lizzrd posted.

First the replies were slow in coming and now you have to figure out how to make sense of all the replies, lol!

It sounds like your fiancee-to-be has a similar taste to mine. I am a size 6 and like substantial settings, and definitely avoid anything too delicate as it doesn''t suit my hand. I also like channel (or bead) set eternity type rings, so I would go with D though I am not mad about the milgrain. B is nice too, although I would also like the band to sit flush and this design doesn''t allow that.

I LOVE the Leon Mege and the setting Lizzrd posted too, although I hear what you are saying about it being too thin. I am sure Whiteflash can do something about that. I found that a 3mm shank sitting flush with a 3mm wedding band really does look substantial without the metal dominating.

Good luck, let us know what you go for.

D.

I vote for E! I love the scroll work in the profile, though I''m a 6-prong lover, so it would have to have a different head! Best of luck, be sure to let us know what you choose!

A. I also vote for choice E- the scrollwork detail, filagree, and overall look of this is just soo pretty and will compliment a beautiful 1.5 round very nicely.

B. Just wanted to share this funny little story with you: I first saw your post in the Rockytalky forum and saw, your username: "GoCubsGo" and that you had a 1.5 diamond in mind..... and my heart almost skipped a beat- b/c, well- My fiance-to-be & myself are HUGE Cubs/Bears fans... and well..I had wishful thinking for a second that maybe that post was made by him.... but alas.... I quickly realized this was not the case as you had a round in mind (we''ve been looking at asschers together), plus all the other details that I saw as I read on....:) Anyway- Good luck!!!!- Some very lucky gal is going to be saying, "YESS!!!" to a guy with great taste in both sports & jewelry!:)

C. Go Cubs Go! (always next yr...) (And BEAR DOWN!)

My vote is for either B or E. I do agree with the problem of not having a band sit flush with B though.

Definately B. The head looks most fluid and ''part'' of the ring in this set.
