Do you think this would be a good buy?

Link isn't working. But no I would not buy a ring from Costco unless you need the return policy. Especially not a fancy cut.

Here's a gorgeous Emerald Cut that another poster ended up not buying (made a mistake if you ask me) since he decided to buy in person. And it is also I color. It should be back available on JA soon, as the other person's hold will be released.

The price was very good. Right around 5,000.
We can find a gorgeous setting for it for you.

Here's the ASET it's a very nice stone.

Thank you guys! I'll take a look at all the links :) Yes, I do believe I want a halo. Thank you again for the input!

Having just recently bought an EC stone, I would definitely not buy one without seeing photos/ASEt's. Gypsy's halo suggestions are lovely and that stone is beautiful (is that the aset I just saw on schroeders thread since he bought the Solomon one instead?). Love how clearly defined and bright those steps are- really hard to find.

I love the emerald cut Gypsy linked you to...beautiful and mesmerizing!

I bought an ER from Costco and ending up returning it a week later. It's possible that maybe I just got a poorly cut I VVS2, but my stone was gray in most lights - I've been told that's a sign of a poorly cut stone. What confused me further is that I had a GIA XXX.

Exchange was not a problem. Since then I have learned that in diamonds - Costco does NOT have the best deals. You can get better quality for the same or less money by doing some research.

Gypsy, you're SO helpful!

NO RUN RUN RUN .....You are looking for an idea cut stone certified by GIA or AGS.. IGI is a for profit lab that helps seller give better stats for their stones. It is also better to select your stone first and have it set. Gypsey has given you some terrific ideas so start there. Again Costco is for bulk items not fine gem s.

You guys ROCK--literally! Thank you for the input.... :) :) :)
