Here's another from a different vendor! Stone on the left in the video. Weirdly the ASET looks awful but the stone itself is quite nice. Im wondering whether he got the ASET mixed up with the second stone... Looking forward to your thoughts

It is either the camera is too close or the person is casting too much body shadow.
As a result, you get darkness (shadow from higher angles) where it is red, and brightness (light from lower angles) where it is green.

This is where AGS's general description that "green=less bright" is inappropriate and can be confusing.
You may think the ASET has alot of green and the stone should appear dark. That's always not the case depending on the lighting and photography setup.

I think it's pretty but can you get a 360 video? All we see is the face.

It has a whole large step that is see through...:(sad

I noticed that, too. I would probably rule it out for that reason, but I'd want to know table size, see the crown height, and know the diameter (and the weight). I reject large tables and flat crowns. You do see a stone at an angle and a nice crown is important aside from a top down view.

You know your vendor might. E showing a true dud to make the other one look great.

Since you seem to be doing very thorough due diligence OP I am just wondering if you have used the rare carat search tool in seeking your diamond? I have found it extremely helpful, especially with finding out which vendors are charging a lot more for the same diamond.

As usual I'd agree with DS ...I have never seen a nice performing stone with large table + a flat crown.

Not wowing my socks off.

Just create a search on rarecarat.com. It's very interesting and oh so helpful.

Not really feeling that myself - as mentioned, looks like it's windowing on a couple of the facets. The GOG one in the other thread also looks to either be windowing verrrry slightly on a couple of steps from a couple of narrow angles, but it's better than this one!

Might just be the lighting/shooting environment, though - the video really does it no favours. Who doesn't have an iPhone with 1080p/HD shooting nowadays?? lol
