I hear lots of people buy very expensive shoes.
I'm not criticizing.
Goodness knows I have a couple things I've spent obscene amounts of money for.

I know it's rude to ask what something costs.
So since I'm a rude guy, how much was your most expensive pair of shoes?
I once spent $125 or a pair.

Hmmm, many of my shoes cost $80-100. I have a pair of boots that were probably $150.

My wedding shoes were $180, on sale from $250, so I guess those are my most expensive. They're blue, so I fully intend on wearing them again - I just don't have many places to wear heels other than work.

My rock climbing shoes are my most expensive shoes and they were around $100 (on sale, of course). My willingness to shell out money is directly correlated with how much enjoyment I get out of the product and my rock climbing shoes most definitely bring me the most joy.

1. Black boots- $1200
2. Wedding Shoes- $795
3. A few pairs of pumps in the $300 range.

Mostly everything else is around $100 or less.

Almost all of the shoes in the first 3 categories were gifts. Most of my personal splurges have been on designer jeans and purses

my most expensive pair of shoes are a pair of Italian made leather dress shoes that had a retail of 495.00...but I didnt pay that for them.I paid $23.00.I shop for my shoes at stores like Rosses,DSW, and Nordstrum Rack. The best buy on a pair of shoes...A pair of leather dress shoes by YSL that I bought on sale for $20.00 over 20 years ago.I still wear them because people ask if they are new.I shopped for a pair like them last year and found that YSL still has a pair somewhat like them in their line. The price...$700.00.

At the risk of being judged, I''ll play!

The most I''ve paid for a pair of shoes (boots, actually) is about $530. They''re handmade in Italy and are AMAZING if I do say so myself. I wanted them for years so I finally sprung for them this past winter.

I generally don''t spend a lot on shoes, with the exception of running shoes. The most I''ve spent on running shoes is around $125. Most of my regular shoes end up under $80, preferrably under $50!!!

My shoes are generally 100 or less, but I haven''t bought new shoes in forever!

I told DH when I FINALLY get a better paying job I will be rewarding myself with a really nice pair of expensive black pumps ($500+). Not sure which ones I want yet, but its definitely helping to motivate on the job search!

I splurged and got a pair of Manolo's at $695 when I was turning 30. Total splurge and impulse buy. I wore them a couple of times, but you know what, they hurt! Anyone want to buy them off me?

Since then I generallly spend no more than $100 and really not much of a shoe fanatic anyway, thank goodness. Although I did buy Hunter Boots a few weeks ago at $120.

I don't spend a whole lot on shoes. I think the most I've probably paid is around $100 (maybe a bit more).

I have a pair of amazing black ballet flats that are ~$110 new, but I paid $30 for 'em.

ETA: I also have a pair of nice chocolate leather thigh high boots, but I got them as a gift. They retailed for $180.

Wow, what are the boots made of?

DH is constantly buying heels for me. I think the most he''s spent was around $100. That would probably be my most expensive pair. My wedding shoes may have been a bit more, but I don''t remember.

I have a pair of $375 roller skates, though, does that count? Count me as a +1 on NEL''s philosophy of shelling out money based on how much enjoyment I get out of the product.

Most of my shoes were purchased on sale. . .the most I spent was on a pair of $130-150ish uggs. They''re ankle ones that I was going to wear on a trip that someone promised to take me on and then she backed out. I even got my passport and everything prepared and then NO trip. Just stuck with a pair of uggs that I don''t even like.

$800 black leather knee high Gucci boots. I bought them with my first paycheck from my first job as an attorney. They were worth every penny. I wore them to death, in fact I still have them because I am sentimental about them. Other than that, I have a number of shoes in the $300-$600 range. I love designer shoes, but try to get them on sale. Although since having my daughter I haven''t worn a single pair of heels.

I have horrid foot problems, so I''m not a big shoe fan. I think my wedding shoes are my most expensive, and they were $60, LOL!

I don''t think I''ve spent more than $100 on shoes. Hmm, sad! My mom has gotten me cardi uggs and some BP boots which were probably over, but I think the most I''ve personally spent was $70. I like shoes, I just hate spending money on them! LOL.

I have a penchant for pricey shoes, the majority I own are a couple hundred dollars. the most I spent on a pair of shoes was just under $800 for my wedding shoes, I can''t remember the exact cost now. The priciest retail on a pair of shoes I bought was around $1800 I think but I paid just under $600.

As an owner of 2 pairs I have to say there is NOTHING like a good Choo boot!

Black Jimmy Choo pumps which I bought from their online boutique - I think they were about £290, oh and a pair of black Louboutin pumps. DH bought them for me on a shopping trip, so not sure exactly how much. I saw him wince and he didn't even want to go an look at handbags, so I'm guessing expensive.

ETA I plan to have them forever, so I don't mind. I don't wear them much, but I like to know they're waiting for me if I want to!

not over $150. I think the most expensive pair of shoes I''ve ever bought were my pole vaulting shoes for track. If I buy running shoes I''ll spend maybe $90-120, regular casuals ~$60.

I guess I just don''t really like spending a lot of money on shoes because I''m not quite so passionate about them

I think the most I have paid for a pair of shoes is about $100 to $120 (from places like Marshalls and TJMaxx, so they retailed for more)... but if we are including all foot-ware then the most I have paid is $600 for my Ice Hockey skates.

Calling Freke! Freke, where are you?

In answer to the question, the most expensive pair of shoes I own is a pair of Guiseppe Zanotti pumps.

I''ve bought shoes at 400 but I''m afraid to see what I come up when I go wedding shoes shopping!
3.gif

My Zanotti boots I purchased for $1100 on sale. What a deal! lol

I spent about $270 on a pair of Cole Haan Nike Air pumps. I had won the money in Vegas so I figured why not? And they''re SOOOOO comfy! Most of my other shoes rarely exceed $60. I''m just not that big a shoe person. Now purses on the other hand

I really don''t like spending money on non-leather shoes, so I am much more likely to buy one pair of more expensive shoes than several pair of man-made material ones. My most expensive were also a pair of boots @ $900. My favorite, though, are a $20 pair of Teva mush flip flops.

Probably my nice black leather pumps for about $200. I got them in Tokyo at this specialty shop that makes clothes and shoes in VERY small sizes (I can''t even wear US 4 in pumps - they''re too big) so I thought they were definitely worth it! And my $200 Cole Haan knee-high black leather boots.
