What are your most expensive shoes?

My most expensive in my closet right now...$350 (boots)

I used to buy shoes in that price range all the time...looking back, I don''t know how I used to be able to afford that. I wouldn''t buy anything that wasn''t an expensive brand.

Situation is different now...now I wouldn''t spend over $150. And I would have to really love them or need them for something specific to spend that much. I go to Marshall''s or other discount stores whenever possible.

If I was making lots of money, I wouldn''t necessarily spend more money per pair - but I would be shopping a lot more - I love clothes. I''ve learned that it''s usually better to go a little bit down on quality and shop much more often and have fresh stuff that looks polished and new than spend a lot of money on one piece and then not be able to shop for a while.

Although of course if you could afford very expensive, and shop very often, that''s great! Hoping I''ll get there some day.

i think my most expensive shoes were UGGs - around $100 - $150. I don''t usually buy really expensive shoes...

My snow boots were $120 but I got them cheaper on Ebay. Otherwise, I''ve probably spent 30 or 40 on tennies is all.

It''s hard for me to find shoes in my size. I am a 5, and most shoes start at a 6. I think my most $$ are Taryn Rose. Really comfy and she makes small sizes. They average around $400. I have one pair of Jimmy Choo''s, but they are so uncomfortable. I have a pair of Fiorentini Baker boots that were around $450. I really love some of the John Fluevog shoes, which average around $200. In the winter I mostly wear Uggs, and in the summer I mostly wear Reefs.

I hate buying shoes - I have fat little baby feet. So the most expensive would be the last pair of Skechers I bought for around $50 that lasted me something like 5 years.

Not very expensive compared to everyone else''s!!

I am size 35 so struggle to find shoes I can walk in if they are high heels! So no real designer ones for me. They would have to be high and sexy and walkable in before they would tempt me.

So mine would be my beautiful nude patent high heeled pumps from LK Bennett at £150. I have not worn them yet. Got them in November last year and the weather has been so awful this winter I couldn''t make them suffer!!!

If my figure skates count, about a grand.

Otherwise, I just spent $79 on a pair of shoes for the wedding I'm standing up in. Not terribly happy about it, they are the most expensive shoes I own and they are SO not my style! I'm not a shoe person, really.

I usually get one pair of good quality shoes (that aren''t even obscenely expensive) and wear them for 5-8 years). I''ll admit I have spent more on boots since I need them for the cold weather.

I enjoy good shoes, but I also put a cap on how much I''m willing to spend. I typically spend $80-100 on a good pair. I have a weakness for Jack Rogers sandals and will search high and low for the best deal so I''m NOT paying $100 each. Best I''ve done on those when I haven''t found them at Nordstrom Rack is $80.

I have a pair of turquoise shoes that I love, love, love that cost me $90. Seemed a little high at the time, but I''ve loved them for three years and have gotten a ton of wear out of them.

I wear Dansko''s to work everyday - I mean EVERY day. (if you don''t know what they are and you are on your feet a lot, you HAVE to get a pair!) so I have a few pairs and they are usually $100-$150 each. They last forever though, you get years of wear out of them.

10 yrs ago i spent $300 bucks on a pair of Bally and only wore it one time.

my shoes are almost always under 50$ except for sneakers sometimes - and my winter boots - they were a bit more than 100$

My most expensive shoes...

My wedding shoes - $945 + trip to New York for Hubby to pick them up (he was my fiance at the time)

I have several pairs in the $300-500 range, but I really do try to purchase most of my shoes on sale and DH is always buying me shoes. I used to have several hundred pairs of shoes and I would always be buying new ones, but I discovered that for the same amount as 3 or 4 pairs of regular priced shoes ($60-80) I could buy one pair of really well made shoes that would last me longer and wouldn''t hurt my feet as much. So, I have really culled my shoe collection, but it is of much higher quality now.

my $695 wedding Manolo Blahnik''s. Worth EVERY penny!

A pair of Frye boots, about $300. DH got them for me this last Christmas (after some very deliberate hints from me!). I LOVE them. Told him he could get me a different pair every year if he wanted...

Mine are my Brooks running shoes - $129. And well worth every penny I might add.

$200 for me - but thats not for want of wishing

i think if id stayed in Australia in ''career mode'' i definitely would have justified jimmys, manolos and CLs by now. As it is i live in a mountain town and nice shoes just arent practical - instead i find myself coveting hikers

but im sure if my lifestyle were to change i would happily fork out for gorgeous heels, and ill definitely justify a pair when i get married

oh and like others, if you count all footwear my figure skates take the cake for me, at $700

Mine are my Giuseppe Zanotti for Balmain crystal bow pumps. I think they were around $1k.

Probably the J.M. Weston Chelsea boots. They were over $900, but I don''t exactly remember. I also have loafers from there as well.

I have some Ferragamos and they were around $450 - $900, but these are shoes that last forever. I might have to get the soles replaced, but I won''t have to buy brand new pairs of shoes. And for men, it''s not so much a big deal because it''s not like I have 10 pairs of loafers that were $500 a pop, whereas my step-mom, probably has 20 pairs of Jimmy Choos. I have no idea, she has a lot of shoes and she will actually call me and have me go to buy her shoes and ship them to Alabama.

The vast majority of my shoes are $150 and below. Like, my go to shoes are a pair of brown leather slide in Clarks that I got on sale at Belk for like $20. Speaking of Clarks, I think I''m one of those that likes to stick with a brand that works for my feet. I know that any pair of Clarks is going to be super comfortable, and that''s important because I don''t have the best feet from so many years of dancing. Also, I recommend the Wallabee from Clarks. Once they are broken in, they mold to your feet and are awesome. This is something that men and women both say.

I find that I buy the same shoes over and over - Adidas Sambas, K-Swiss Classics, etc. Fortunately, the price on both of those don''t change.

Oh, absolutely! Once I find a brand that works for me, I go back again and again.

I don''t tend to buy expensive shoes. $80-$150 is my general range. I do have a lovely pair of boots that cost me about $250. I also have a beautiful pair of Prada pumps that retailed for around $500, but I got them on deep, deep, deep discount and didn''t pay anywhere near that.

John Fluevog boots that were $399. I find Fluevogs to be worth every penny. I used to buy really cheap shoes and my feet/back would hurt. I can''t believe what a difference better shoes has made in my life.

My uggs, probably. I have 2 pairs, but would like a few more. (So $150ish)

Sadly, they are not that comfortable to walk in. They''re like really expensive resting boots.

I have a pair of Coach wedges that were about $250.

My wedding shoes by a mile! They were just shy of £100.

Hmm I was going to say a pair of suede boots for $50 but I think my senior prom shoes were actually like $75. They''re gorgeous and were on clearance and only came in a size too big but I bought them anyways which was dumb of me cause I hardly ever wear them cause they always fall off... maybe after I have some kiddos in a few years my feet will get bigger and they''ll actually fit... silver lining?

OMG I'm such a slacker!

Maybe it's just me, but I think this thread could use more pictures!

The most I have spent on a pair of shoes is $246. Magrits that were originally $640. I do own a few pairs of Casadei, Emilio Pucci, etc that range about $600-$700, but have gotten those on SUPER sale (in fact, the Puccis were mislabeled, and I got those for way cheaper then they were supposed to be

. Hey, the sales guy didn't seem to care, and he was the one who pointed it out to me.) for about 70% off.

Oh, and I've bought some full price ($300ish) pairs of Kate Spades, but my dad paid for those, so they don't count.

I haven't tallied it up in a while, but last time I checked, my collection was probably originally priced around $10k, but I've bought a lot since then.

ETA: Usually my shoes range from $50-$150 PAID. I normally don't buy something for full price.

The most expensive shoes I ever bought were a pair of Marc Jacobs leather boots on Newbury Street and I''m almost ashamed to admit they were $650...
40.gif

1. $425 Cole Haan black suede boots (these were a birthday present)
2. $180 flat leather boots for the winter (originally $225)
3. $125 Cole Haan silver heels (originally around $300 but got them on sale - also a gift)

The most I would spend on shoes for myself is probably $150. Most of my shoes are around $100 and as much as I love shoes, I can''t really bring myself to spend much more than that on myself.

John Lobb Tudors followed by Lobb Phillip IIs, and Edward Green Galways. The Lobbs are about $1500ish, Edward Greens about $1200ish. Got them on sale since I don''t like paying retail if at all possible.

I agree with Pennquaker that men''s shoes are different than women''s shoes. Men''s styles haven''t really changed in over 80 years so with proper maintenance there''s little actual need to buy new shoes.

Uh, I have a real weakness for shoes. I probably have over 40 pairs. I try to buy most of them at the Nordy''s Anniversary Sale; my shoe guy knows to expect me in June...That way, I don''t have to buy most at full price.

However...

I do have a pair of Choo boots $500 (purchased 1/2 off, December Choo sale)
Raspberry Seadaraby Manolos, $695
Red Valentino''s that I purchased on my honeymoon. I saw them, asked to try them on, and as I was walking the store, my husband took one look and told the salesperson, "She''s going to buy those." 700 euros.
Uh, what''s the conversion?

My hubby says nothing about my shoe collection, and I say nothing about his card purchases.
