whad do you guys think of this custom setting

One of my settings is done what do you guys think?

There are pretty elements to it, but what sticks out to me the most is that much of the diamond is going to be covered by the wide petal-like prongs. Personally, I like to see more of the diamond from the sides (more sparkle). I really like the engraving on the profile and bead set diamonds in the shank. However, the pink surprise stone seems a little too large for that setting.

I like that it's unique. Maybe you could slightly modify the head to make it a little more delicate?

It's such a gorgeous setting, but I agree. The head may overwhelm the center diamond. What size is your center diamond though?

I like the head - it turns the diamond into a flower center. Very pretty, and the side stone is really sweet.

I got one of those first in a 1.72 ct and started this thread:

The poll went 50/50 in the end, half thought too much metal in the petals, and half liked how they cupped the diamond.

I like the ruby.....but the prongs will cover most of the diamond and I prefer the head be lower. But the over all concept is pretty

I don't particularly care for it. But is that the style she wants? Does she want a ruby?

Our opinion doesn't matter. Only hers does.

I think your ring looks lovely. The head on my band is similar and I love it. your ring looks very unique and i think you will love it.

Kinda reminds me of the setting below. Yours will look nicer with the diamond sitting in the "cup" IMO
