Hey there, I am thinking of ordering the 14K WF 1ct shared prong bangle. So exciting!!!!

I''m wondering if anyone out there owns this? And if so, is this something I could wear everyday without damaging it? My rings are platinum and I am unsure how 14K white gold will wear? Does it get dinged up alot? Any issues with diamonds falling out? Or rhodium dipping often?

And if you happen to have any wrist pics hanging around, don''t be shy to post em!! Thanks!!!

I would also like to know more about this bangle, it''s been on my "list" for awhile now.

I have the 1 ct shared prong bracelet, and I wore it daily for 6 months with no problems. It''s pretty sturdy.

The degree to which it may get scratched really depends on what you do when you wear it. I work at a desk all day and I''m right handed (and wear the bracelet on the right), so it''s often resting on the desk as I use the mouse. Still, it hasn''t incurred any trouble beyond the normal wear.

I''ve not had to rhodium it either, likely because it doesn''t sit as firmly on the skin as a ring does.

I have one of the WF 1ct bangles as well as one 1.5ct bangle and I adore them. I don''t wear them 24/7 but I do wear them quite often and I have had no problems with either of them in terms of wear. Not one stone has fallen out and the rhodium is fine and I have had them for a couple of years and not had them re-plated. Neither are scratched up or show heavy wear. I wear them not together but on my right wrist and I do put them on my desk at work to use the mouse like Alison said and on tables at restaurants and stuff and it is fine.

They are really GORGEOUS!

Cnspotts, I hope this thread will help you out too!!

Gypsy, thanks for the links! I am going to check them all out now! That is perfect! I would love to see some pics of yours too!!!!

Allison, thanks for the info! I am glad to hear that the 14K treated you well and that you haven''t had any problems with rhodium or scratching.

Btrfly, I Am so happy you still love yours and have had no issues!

I was originally going to get the DBTY bracelet but I have an 11 month old who likes to pull my pendants off of my neck so I was afraid that the same would happen to the DBTY. I think the bangle will be more baby proof!!!

So how sparkly are they? This will be my first ACA purchase!!!!!!!

the WF shared prong bangle is really beautiful - come back with photos if you decide to go for it :)

Will do Maevie! I am just finishing up some details with WF and then it''ll be a done deal!

For everyone who owns this bangle, how do you clean yours? I have some of the ammonia based jewelry cleanser that I could just use lightly with a small toothbrush on the diamonds and then rinse, what do you think? I like to keep my sparklies very sparkly! But I don''t want to harm the white gold!!!

lizzy

I clean mine the following way I get a small bowl and fill it up with sudsy warm water. I make it sudsy with either Palmolive or Dove dish detergent and then I add a small dash of Mr. Clean and then I soak it in that solution and then use the small toothbrush to clean it and then rinse and wipe and it looks fantastic.
I hope that helps I pretty much clean most of my pieces this way and it works great!

Thanks btrfly, even though the 1 carat one is 2mm do you still feel like it looks pretty substantial on you! From the links that Gypsy posted I think they do!

If anyone else owns this and doesn''t have a thread on it, I''d love to see more pics!!!!

For anyone else interested, I found some great pics of the 1cttw bangle here on isis~goddess''s thread. It''s a beauty. linky

I am excited!! Can you tell?

Hey there, does anyone know if there is any difference between WF''s and BGD''s shared prong bangle? Gypsy, if you happen to have any photos of your BGD bangles I''d love to see em!!!! I think I am definitely going to go with the 1ctw version. Perfect for everyday and for dressing up!

Hi Lizzy, I don''t have pics, I never took any as I decided against the bangle and decided on a blingy band (design yet to be determined) instead. But from all the pics on here (and I looked up all the threads on the WF bangle) the BGD bangle is the same, exactly, as the WF bangle. I was trying out the 1 ctw, so they definitely have that size.

My observations were this: The melee were just blindingly bright and the bracelet was delicate but definitely eye catching. I wore it a couple of days and people''s eyes caught it, followed it, and they commented on it. I personally want a three prong tennis bracelet, of at least 5 carats ctw, so I would have been ''settling'' on a bangle no matter what the carat weight. Which is why I decided against it. But if you want a bangle... it really is a knock out. If you look at Jcrow''s pics you will see that the ''1/2 eternity'' is not a true 1/2 it''s more like 2/5ths the way around. It sits on the wrist nicely, stays melee side up most of the time and doesn''t catch or snag on things. I liked it a lot. It was tough to give it up and send it back. Can''t wait to see what you get.

Gypsy, thank you so much for posting your thoughts and observations. I''m sorry it didn''t work out for you but I understand why. Better to wait and get what you REALLY want when budget allows. Can''t wait to see what blingy band you choose! That bangle has my name written all over it! Pics coming as soon as I get it!
