WF new website

You guys know I am the most technically challenged person around here, but I don''t quite understand the new website!

(Although it is quite beautiful!)

In the Gallery section, I can''t figure out how to stop the automatically scrolling pictures to get more information... and I don''t see the Whiteflash Design pieces??!

I also had trouble with the search for diamonds feature, but that has been addressed above.

Maybe I am just doing something wrong, or missing something?

Lynn, I just went and had a look. I''m no whiz either, but I couldn''t find away to stop it. Then at the end, it said, New Gallery Coming Soon. I wonder if this is just it, until they fine tune things, where you can find out about an item....

Interesting thing - if you go to ACA, then after looking at selections you change only the type of stone you are looking for from ACA to 'round ideal cut', it brings up only one stone - the 3.01 G again! - I thought this may be a short cut to get from ACA to Expert Selection, but for some reason it takes it only to one stone (which isn't even the expert selection).

I presume they are still fixing the advanced search?

I think Ellen is on to something. That 3.01 is following you around like a diamond puppy dog.

The ACA and ES-exclusive searches should be fixed (re-searching or changing pages inside prliminary results was bringing up different diamonds before).

Yes, the advanced search still being worked out. I got to beta-test it last night.
Better, but not ready for the race track yet.

Thanks for the compliment about the new appearance.

Gallery: Again, Ellen's observation is sage. The static gallery will be forthcoming, as will the ring and earring builders. There was a thread in hangout with some previous comments you might like to see; here they are. Some aspects will continue to evolve and undergo adjustments.

Main Page
Use Jewelry Search dropdown, select ‘Diamond Earrings’
Click Search
Scroll past blank settings to Ready Set to Go selections.

We will be restoring the Princess options; the photos are just not loaded yet. If you need info on them before they're up I’m happy to answer any other questions.

Ive noticed on the smaller ACA`s rounds one of your least expensive for 441.00 is not on the site anymore also some of the smaller of you least expensive from $441.00-550.00 .30-40 only have AGS report idealscope image and sarin is left out will this all be able to be viewed soon

I checked and there is a .305 J VS2 at that price, dyemonds. Were you thinking of another?

As our stock turns over the diamonds with partial info are typically new arrivals. Many of the ones you identified were graded 11 days ago.

Here is our preferred method for giving shoppers as much info as possible: When we receive a shipment of diamonds we do our own photo/IS/Sarin before sending them to the lab. That way, once we hear official lab grades, we can active new pages with all info posted except for the scanned lab report (which is in the mail to us).

Our most recent situation was reversed. The photo team was extremely busy with the switch to our new website, so we sent this shipment on to lab without doing our own photos/scans. That's why there is only an AGS report posted. The other info will be forthcoming.

Thank you John i figured that cause of the new website and seeing that most of all were certed the 18th we have talked on the phone before you been very imformative im the guitarist remember and im learning more and more every day maybe too much Garry (cut nut) said i knew too much in my topic few days ago Painted Diamonds maybe you could shed light on that too why cant the upper girdle facets be finished completely when painting or digging not just close to the main crown and star angles can one single H&A superideal have both paint and dug out girdles

I remember our conversation. It's nice to make you acquaintance again on the forum. Still playing that axe?

Regarding painting and digging, here is an overview by GIA. In short, the techniques are used to either (1) retain a commercially important weight (2) improve a verbal description of girdle thickness/‘chase out’ inclusions or (3) acquire desirable visual properties.

#3 is the least used application globally, but it’s found in ‘superideal’ diamonds and brands discussed on PS, so it’s applicable here. This article in the PS journal is specific to such diamonds. It discusses applications & visible influence. Page 3 shows subject diamonds sent to both major labs for analysis.
