GORGOEOUS!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE YOUR DRESS!!!

Right? That dress is just amazing. The whole wedding was incredibly beautiful. You''ve just GOTTA come back with the pro pics when you get them, I bet they''ll look like a magazine spread! The flowers on your cake just dropped my jaw! Totally stunning!!!

Gorgeous pics espressa!

How exciting for you!

Congratulations on your marriage!

Wow, espressa, your wedding was so beautiful!!! In the one of you two posed when you cut the cake and the one of your first dance - you look so beautiful!! I love your dress with the "jacket" you wore - the pic of you from the back of the whole dress and jacket is stunning!

Hehe and I love the idea of letting the castle''s natural beauty be the decorations!

And I just wanted to add that you look so happy and carefree in the pictures. I''m glad people calmed down and just wanted to say you were so beautiful and happy in all the pics!

Can''t wait to see pro pics!

Wow, I can''t believe how many people have responded! Thank you all so much for all of the wonderful comments and compliments. I''ve been in bed most of the day here in Paris (the weather got better but I got worse...) and all of the posts have really helped to cheer me up.

I have to say that even though the week of the wedding was incredibly stressful and difficult, the wedding itself went so well that looking back I can''t believe there weren''t more problems. The only issue I had during the wedding was that I felt like the photographer wasn''t around enough, but it''s possible that I just didn''t see him at certain times, and hopefully the pro photos will turn out great and it won''t have mattered. As far as I could tell, he left the room shortly after my sister started her toast to me, which I was extremely unhappy about. She gave a wonderful speech that left a lot of my family in tears, and so I''m really hoping that I''m wrong and he was hiding in the doorway or something. I know photographers have to eat too and take a break, but they should stay for all of the speeches at least!!

I''m extremely anxious to see the pro photos. I absolutely hate the way my face looks in most photos of me from the side, and when I wasn''t wearing the jacket I had a bit of armpit/boob fat. The photographer knew about my concerns though so hopefully we will end up with some really good shots.

Anyway, Gypsy, I just wanted to say thank you for what you said about my flowers. Coming from you (the resident flower expert), I take that as a huge compliment, and it really made me smile to read your post.

The flowers were the most difficult thing to plan via email and we went back and forth several times on different options. DH''s family owns a chain of florist and gardening stores, which made things even more complicated because they always do the flowers for any of the weddings in the family, and I went to talk with one of their floral designers to figure out what I wanted for my bouquet and left with a list of 10 different kinds of flowers in 6 or 7 different colors!

Nearly all of the flowers we wanted weren''t in season and weren''t available to the florist, so I didn''t even know what the flowers would be until I got there (and I don''t really remember what they were now because I went to the florist''s the first night we got into the castle, which was a day from hell). I emailed a picture of what I wanted my bouquet to look like (the colors and shapes) and eventually I gave up and just told my wedding planner to have the florist do whatever she wanted with those colors, to just make it pretty. I''m very very happy with how it all turned out! The flowers were really cheap too, compared to the other costs of the wedding. I think the flowers came to about $1000 Euro (~$1350 USD at the time).

I''m completely over the complaints people had about the castle and their accommodations at the nearby villas. It was mostly one person complaining, but it was the person whose opinions affected me the most for a variety of reasons (well, besides how DH felt about everything). After the wedding some underlying non-wedding related things came out to explain the person''s behavior. The other people who complained were pretty minor, but it all snowballed into a huge crushing attack of guilt over the amount of money people spent to come to the wedding, and what I perceived to be their unhappiness. Overall, everyone really was happy with things and it turned out to not be a big deal, but at the time it was soooo hard to ignore.

I should be getting back to bed now. But thank you again for all of the support and wonderful replies! You guys are the best!
