The wedding turned out great, and we''re still on our honeymoon but I have some free time so I thought I''d upload some pics now. We''re in Paris and it''s raining

but we have 4 more days here, so hopefully the weather gets better before we leave!

We were married on October 9th in Cortona, Italy at the town hall, and the reception was held at a castle that we rented for the week where we stayed with our family.

The castle was really awesome, although there were some issues that came along, which were mostly a result of people not understanding/accepting that a castle is not a hotel, will not have all of the luxuries of a hotel, and since the castle is several hundred years old, there isn''t an unlimited supply of hot water (this specific problem became a non-issue after the second day we were there and everyone wasn''t trying to shower during the same half hour period). I spent the first half of the week there trying to make everyone happy, and the rest of the time trying to keep everyone away from me because their constant complaining was driving. me. up. a. wall. Now, not everyone did this. There were a few people who complained the most, and some of them had legitimate concerns but most of their issues were not nearly as serious as they kept making them out to be (IMHO).

It got to be so bad that we actually had to tell everyone there to not say a single negative thing about the castle while I was present, and the best man was given the job of keeping people away from me. The first few days were entirely stressful, since almost everyone got lost and it was a big ordeal to make sure everyone found the castle and had a way there. And I was sick the whole time (I''m still sick, bad cold/cough). Needless to say, I spent the first 3 days hysterically sobbing most of the time.

In the end it all turned out wonderful though, and I can look back on it now and laugh. But at the time it was beyond difficult and I actually got so fed up that I wanted to forget the whole thing and just go home. I have no regrets about the wedding we had though, and if I could go back and change things I wouldn''t - except to give everyone better directions and tell them all to take a taxi rather than agreeing to pick people up!

Anyway, on to the pictures! (There are A LOT of them...)

In the bus, riding back to the castle. (Yes, I took the bus there too, with all of our guests and my husband. We had originally hired a car to take me there but we couldn''t justify the $500 cost, and it was a lot easier to be in a bus than a car with my dress anyway!)

Appetizers and champagne outside by the pool. This is one of the tables of appetizers (there was a lot of food!). We also had a fried food station but I don''t have a good picture of that.

Room where dinner was held (sitting room on 2nd floor). Unfortunately I don''t have any good pictures of just the tables, but the photographer was supposed to take some so hopefully I''ll have some when I get my pro pics!

My husband''s grandfather fell asleep at some point during dinner. (He falls asleep all the time.) We have lots of photos of it, haha. It was so cute.

The cake. Turned out better than I ever could have imagined. It looks nearly identical to the picture I gave them.
