Please don't call me an expert. An expert knows all the answers. I know some of the answers.
An EXPERT: An Ex is a hasbeen. A spert is a drip under pressure.
Somebody told me this about 15 minutes before I gave my first public talk back in the early 70's.
I do enjoy gemology and I don't mind jumping in when I can contribute something useful, hopefully.

my question for anyone who may be able to help is what stone will cut glass besides a diamond any help would be greatly appreciated

Corundums (e.g. sapphire) – both synthetic and natural,

Silicon Carbide or carborundum. Btw, Moissanite is also Silicon Carbide

Glass usually has a hardness of 7 or less. So anything harder than 7 should cut glass.
