wedding band help? And can I mix metals?

I have the platinum Jovyn from CvB. ( https://www.etsy.com/listing/230453061/the-cvb-id-jovyn-classic-six-prong?ref=shop_home_active_50 )

I am getting married in three months - so I would like to have the ring by then.

A cw has a platinum and sapphire ring paired with a gold band. To my surprise, I liked the mixed metals.
My question is, if they are not the same hardness, would one damage the other? Or is that only on certain rings (like pave)?

My stone is an OEC/L color. Do you think mixing my ring with an eternity band (mrbs) would make the ering look dingy?
If not, where might I look for an eternity band that will match?

I like CvB's eternity bands, but in platinum they are a little more than I wanted to spend. I guess I am looking for something under $2500 (platinum).

I do also love orange blossom rings. I haven't found THE ONE, though. I love this one: https://www.etsy.com/listing/482148411/platinum-floral-pattern-amelia-band-from but I worry that I will wish I went blingier/more detailed/fancier for my wedding band.

I would be less sentimental about eventually changing and ering, but the band feels more permanent for some reason. I guess I could always add blingier bands later.

I know one poster here had CvB make the orange blossom ring above, and it is lovely.

Suggestions/recommendations? Thanks.

I wear a vintage two-tone orange blossom band with my platinum OEC and love how it looks. I did get a vintage WG single-cut semi-eternity that matched my ering and although it's a lovely ring, to my eye the matchiness took something away from my ering. So I'd vote for the orange blossom ring (but I am biased). Do you want new or vintage? What size are you? There's some gorgeous options in new old stock vendors on Etsy and also CvB's bench do lovely chasing work so you could get them to do one if you found THE pattern.
What I would have liked to tried is a French cut band (the sparkle in pix is amazing) but there's nothing like that where I live and I couldn't find anything affordable enough to buy just to try on since returns are a pain from NZ

I wear a WG pave band with my platinum ER and I haven't had any trouble with the metal wearing badly. I'd say buy what you like.

Another vote for buying whatever makes your heart sing. My sister was engaged with an antique platinum diamond solitaire with pave shoulders, and she married with my grandmothers plain 22ct yellow gold band. Quirky & eye-catching!

Thanks. Interesting about being too matchy. I am looking at new and vintage. I am 5.75-6.00.
I'll keep scouring all the usual places.

Hi! I actually have that band- it's the same one, I didn't end up having CVB make it for me:) I LOVE that band. It would be beautiful with your Jovyn. Here is a pic with my old CVB olivia setting.

Ah, it was you, soxfan. Thanks right. Did you end up buying the original/vintage one?

I was at Tiffany's the other day to exchange some earrings for another size. I tried on several of their eternity bands just to see if I liked the look. It didn't look as OMGAH as I'd imagined it would.
My only worry about the platinum floral one is that I will wish I went fancier? This is my first plain solitaire and I adore the simplicity. And when I see your combo = love it. (But your stone is bigger!)

I bought the exact same one from etsy. I love it! Actually, my husband got it for me for Christmas. I am planning on getting a few more of their gold bands! Gold would look great with yours too!
