Hi all!! I did a lots of digging through this site prior to getting engaged...sooo helpful....I actually got "the" ring I had been hunting and discussing in the post linked below. We were engaged last March but since I always hated reading through threads and never seeing a pic of the rings, I thought I better share mine.... I tried to comment on my old thread but was unable becaue it is locked.

I am also here to ask for a little help...I need to find a wedding band!! suggestions, ideas, pics, thoughts...what will go nicely with a solitare asscher?!?!

This pic was taken with my cell phone...I will try to find one that shows how clean the asscher cut looks for those of you hunting an asscher...this stone has more sparkle than expected too.

With a solitare you ahve a lot of options.

Are you looking for something more blingy? antique? modern?

I think LTP's french cut band would be pretty with something like that- though I don't have a picture of it. Perhaps she can re-post her beautiful band?!

I think a gemstone band would also look amazing. Perhaps something like this?

I personally also really like this one from JbEG - However at 4+k it might be out of budget :nono:

This is stunning!!!! I have been trying to find an asscher shared prong wedding band online but havent seen much or just too pricey...I originally liked the antique look for my setting but now that I have a solitare I am feeling stuck...I may be crazy thinking that there isnt a nice match for my solitare :twirl:

Man - that gets MY vote!!!

I absolutely love your solitaire! It is quite stunning!

The Facets Colletion has an asscher eternity band, very reasonable in white gold:

Btw: LOVE LOVE LOVE your asscher Solitaire. it makes me melt

Another vote for this one, and the one on JBEG's site is just the larger version in platinum with a bit of a discount. Maybe make an offer on it and see what she says?

I bought my ~1 ct. Carre cut eternity band from JBEG, and I just love it.

Love your bling! I have never seen a carre cut?? I had to google...love it!

Oooooo i love the asscher eternity band !!!

that gets my vote !!!

Your Ering is *gorgeous* dw!!

I vote the channel baguette band - I like the step cuts in the uniform channel, and I think the smaller width and less busy sparkle will complement your Ering without overpowering it :sun:

You have such a classic setting that I really don't think you will have a problem finding a great wedding band. You can mix stone shapes for a less matchy-matchy look if you prefer. Or, have you considered mixing metals, like rose gold or high karat yellow gold? Just a thought. You can go so many ways with this rings, so don't limit yourself and have fun with the process.

Good luck!

Another vote for an asscher or carre cut channel band. I also like the baguette band that purplesilk posted.

Not sure if you like the look of 2 bands, but I think one of these on each side would look nice too. Nice and simple so that beautiful asscher stands out:

Oooh what a BEAUTIFUL engagement ring!

I like all the vintagey suggestions in this thread and don't have a lot to add, except my own experience! My e-ring is an emerald cut in a similar size range to yours, in a similar setting (plain solitaire, but without the "tulip" shaped bar and without the tapering in the centre stone). I tried out lots of different ideas for a WB when shopping; I found that channel set bands with stepcut stones were a bit too "steppy" for me once combined with my stepcut ER. Two ideas ended up being my favourites - one was a plain wedder about 80% of the width of my ER shank, and the other was very very thin split wedders. At work I wear my plain wedder (I love the simplicity and clean lines of this look), and the rest of the time I wear very fine French cut channel-set bands. ER shank is 3.2mm, plain band is 2.5mm, eternities are 1.4mm each.

YOU ALL ARE SOOOO HELPFUL!!! I love the ideas!! Things I hadn't thought of...keep em coming!   I really don't think I want a channel setting but I am not totally eliminating it either. Trying to be open minded!

I don't think anyone has suggested this before in this thread, but I love the Danielle Jazz band from Whiteflash: http://www.whiteflash.com/wedding-bands/danielle-jazz-bezel-diamond-wedding-band-174.htm. I asked about how it would sit next to my solitaire a few weeks ago and Vera said it's 1.5mm 'thick' or high, 2mm wide. I love steps cuts with RB wedding bands, and your asscher is awesome! :cheeky:

I have a bezel eternity band with milgrain that I wear with my asscher sometimes. It's not a forever wedding band, but I love how it looks with it,

Lauren, I just love how that bezel band looks with the asscher. That's basically my dream set right there. :appl:
