Wearability of a 5 stone trellis setting.

I want to be able to wear my 5 stone ring in a trellis setting all day for normal activities. I'd like to be able to wear it at the pool, the beach, shopping, etc. I obviously don't plan on gardening or lifting weights with it on. For those of you with a 5 stone trellis setting, do you find it holds up well? Do you wear it during daily activities?

My other option is to get my ideal cut stones and have caysie set them in this setting, as I know bezels will add some protection, but my first choice is the trellis setting. Opinions?

What about a trellis with a bezel (in platinum if salt water is at hand). This bezel is pretty heavy, but one of the PS vendors could really make something that you might love.

You could also do a 6-prong trellis that give more girdle protection. Its basically a true trellis, but you have an extra prong added in the middle with some swoops....like the middle one here.

Shoot, you know what? I can't do do a different setting. My stones will be .25 each and WF doesn't sell their melee loose!

Soxfan you can do any setting you like. I am confident that you could reach out to WF and ask them to make you a custom setting. Ive worked with them before on a variety of projects, shoot them an email or ring them up and tell them what you are after.

That particular one is from Julie B on Etsy. I think with a 5-stone it might take a bit of care to get all the over/under bits just perfect and I'd like to see the bezel/collets a bit less bulky.

I agree that you should speak to WF directly.

You can also stair-step the bezels vs. a single continuous surface like that particular CVB.
