I've been reading tons of sites and it just leads me confused and unsure what to buy my girlfriend, I do the pricescope search but unsure about things
Criteria:
*Budget: Up to $3,500
*Carat size: at least .81 carat
*Color: D-H
*Clarity: SI1-flawless
Cut: Want it to sparkle, but I realize this adds a lot to cost.
***Tell me if one of my criteria is dumb I know you guys are experts and know more than me.
Please help I want my gf to have the most beautiful diamond possible

also carrat size is really important I would really like to buy a .9 but I don't know should I focus more on cut instead?

sorry Princess cut

Oh, so NOW you tell me  :)) !

I'll see what I can find...little harder to pick out a princess.

tell me whats wrong with something like this

so cheap I'm assuming it doesn't sparkle

No picture so we have no idea what it looks like. Could have ugly faceting pattern. You really cant buy fancy cut stones
without pictures/images. (rounds - yes) Plus its EGL graded. Thier grading can be low at times. An H can be an I or
J color...same with clarity. You could call b2cjewels and tell them what you are looking for and work with them
directly. I'm sure they can find you something. I was trying to find you an in-house stone since you seemed under
a tight timeline.

By far my favorite!!! Its a signature stone so it has a lifetime upgrade (if you should ever wish to). The smaller table is just lovely!

WOW! That is a great choice.

bluenile doesn't supply pictures how do I know they are sparkly? is GIA better than EGL? sorry If I'm asking stupid questions

GIA is better in the fact that they are stricter with their grading. If they have graded a stone as F- VS2, you can feel confident that it is true. EGL on the other hand is looser in color and clarity grading, so their F - VS2 maybe more like H-I, SI1-SI2... Keep that in mind.

Also- is your budget of 3,500 for the stone and setting, or is that the stone budget?

the GOG stone that TYTY said is her favorite is a GEM!

Same thing, not enough information.

is the picture totally necessary going off GIA saying its "ideal cut" isn't enough I'm guessing?

Look hard at the GIA report. Where is it printed Ex in cut grade? GIA do not grade princess in cut performance, only round brilliant.

100% I would go with the one tyty posted from goodoldgold! What are thinking for a setting?

ya I do like the .87 seems like it will be really sparkly. kind of wishing to spend a little less (3,000) but I bet it will be beautiful. I read on this forum if it has a ASET photo then I might be able to buy a GIA Diamond.. what sites offer a ASET photo?

GoodOldGold, WhiteFlash, HighPerformanceDiamond, BrianGavinDiamond, NiceIce will have ASET for their in-house stone.

JamesAllen will take image of up to 3 ASET.

I think you are fine going with the AGS0 from blue nile or the GOG stone. the JA one that kelpie posted looks like it could be really nice, request an ASET image if interested.

Looks promising. Light performance is ideal but overall cut grade is downgraded to AGS1 due to Excellent symm.

Question: When a site like James Allen, Whiteflash, Blue Nile says a diamond is ideal, excellent, good CUT and its a GIA diamond, who is the one saying it's ideal? just wondering..

ugh this is frustrating I find the AGS so expensive and I try to get ASET pictures of GIA diamonds but it takes like 2 days for the companies to send me these ASET photos :( What should I do

Yap, basically that, no one knows what kind of criteria vendors use in these cases. JA based in on just total depth and table size, not sure about BN just that only their in-house stone get the signature ideal grade, everything else even an AGS0 princess starts at VG cut grade.

EDT:
If you are rush for time, get the GOG stone or at least put it on hold first.

would finding an excellent HCA rating using Pricescope search help a little? AGS are way too expensive I'm thinking, what are ways I could buy a GIA and still find a sparkly one..? Ask for aset photos of excellent HCA ratings??

HCA is not applicable to princess. It is only calibrated for a 57 facets modern round brilliant.

o gosh now I feel dumb I've been using that. What could I use then, I don't understand can I use GIA cut ratings are they that inaccurate?

There is no GIA cut ratings.
