I have a .87 oval stone and want to reset it as a halo.

I've tried on loads of rings in the diamond district (oval halo are quite hard to find actually) and I know that I want a thin and simple halo with as thin a band and low a setting as possible.

Something exactly like this https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/564x/93/be/d7/93bed7e86fa8d3b7d2275b80fba3745c.jpg (Blue Nile's design actually but the page doesn't give more info than just micropave halo)

or this https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/564x/33/1f/1e/331f1e58b7fca7f9a4ef6aaccbbde8d6.jpg

Is it just called micropave and nothing else?

Hi - I can't speak about another vendor in particular, and I can't recommend any other vendors if that is what you're looking for? Maybe some other non-trade PS members will help you out with that.
But about the design in general...I would suspect that if there aren't many details about the ring you like, it's probably because of the oval shape, and they'd want you to discuss with them the details of the ring.
With something like a round brilliant as the centre stone, you will have a bit of consistency in the mm diameter depending on the carat weight - you can therefore have a base for the size/number of small accent diamonds which aren't going to change that much within a certain range - - - but because you can get quite a bit of variation in mm size for ovals of a similar carat weight (long/skinny/short/shallow/fat/etc) it's a bit harder to have a 'fixed' halo ring with all a the details of the smalls because the number/total ct weight will vary depending on the mm size of the centre stone.
This design may take 20 halo stones for your oval, but may need 24...or 16 diamonds for the next 0.87ct that comes along...does that make sense? And all of these possible variations will affect the final price.
This is actually a good opportunity for you to sit with a jeweller (online or B&M) and get exactly what you want. If you want really tiny stones, you might want to look at 200per/ct (.005cts each @ approx 1-1.1mm) - - or you might decide you want the diamonds in the halo to be slightly bigger at 100per/ct (.01cts each @ approx 1.3mm) and have 200per/ct in the band...or vice versa....or a size in between...whatever you want ;-) . You can decide if you want the diamonds in the band to run half way around the finger, or 3/4 around...lots of options.
You said that you want as thin a band as possible - I personally don't tend to recommend going under 2mm for the band, but whoever you go with can advise you on these sort of details. This sort of design is pretty straight forward, so don't let it become more complicated than needs to be :)
Hope this helps
