I want a 1.0 ct diamond or bigger, but noticed a pretty good diamond at 0.94 ct for about $700 more. The comparison in size measurements is:

6.46 x 6.51 x 3.94 ...VS... 6.32 x 6.35 x 3.85

(1) Would these differences in mm be noticeable?

(2) Considering the price AND that the specs for the smaller one are slightly worse in symmetry, polish, and girdle...then which one would you choose?

I don''t get it. Are you saying the smaller one is more money and has worse specs?

The smaller one costs less. The specs are similar but slightly worse.

I''d go for the bigger one

Ditto.

I''m with the rest-as long as the budget allows it. Go for the bigger one if you can. Good luck!

0.14 to 0.16 mm would be a slightly noticeable difference to the naked eye if the diamonds were held side-by-side. Many people''s sight memory retention would register a slight difference as well.

There''s plenty of 1 carat diamonds out there that only measure 6.3-6.34 mm though.
