Ladies,
For 18K version of Emilya can someone please give an approximate price? The reason I haven't asked Victor himself is because I've already bombarded him with other questions and this is just an afterthought question.
Thank you

HI Malish!

I highly doubt anyone hear could give you an approx price on a VC ring in gold. I'm not even sure VC works with all gold rings. I know all the emilya rings that have been posted so far have all been in PLAT.

If you are trying to just keep the pricing down in general and that is the reason why you are asking then I will say I doubt there will be much of a price difference as PLAT and gold aren't astronomical different. Also since VC hand forges his rings the majority of the quote will account for his labor.

Finally since this is a micropave ring for longevity I would still do it in PLAT as white gold would have to be redipped. I think I read somewhere that this can/ could be an issue with this type of ring. I'm actually hoping someone on PS can comment on this as I'm now curious if this is 100% accurate.

Thank you for replying! My current wedding band is 18K WG, so that's why I was curious. Do you by chance know how much the platinum version might be?

It all depends upon the amount of melee needed for the halo. Victor is very approachable so your best option is to ask him directly on cost based upon your diamond dimensions.

Malish: I was considering an 18k emilya but V told me the price difference is negligible. It's the number of melees that drives the cost.

Definitely get platinum regardless. As others have said, it all depends on your particular project, but if you are looking for a ballpark figure, I think I have seen the $4k-5k range mentioned here before.

Yikes, while the setting is magnificent I simply cannot afford the price tag after spending extra to get a nicer stone. Any similar settings out there with a cheaper price tag - around $2k? Thank you

You need to look for a cast setting and get a diamond that is close to a size like 1.0, 1.5, etc.

Many halo settings in your price range:

Good Old Gold carries Gabriel and Co. if you want to buy diamond and setting from one place, and you may find local jewelers who carry the line. However, you'll see many more examples on their website than you'd see in any store.

Great idea, though I believe that even Gabriel charge a fairly hefty premium on the larger settings. The quite low prices quoted are for 6mm diamonds.

Gabriel will probably be your best bet for budget if you want a halo. But, if you want a HW-inspired halo, you'll probably need to go with ERD. Their settings will be over $2k, but not VC prices for sure. The legacy-inspired setting I was considering at one point was $2.5k.

Hi there - would this be in Gold or Pt?
Would you mind mentioning when that quote was obtained - the setting is great!

Okay...I looked back at my emails. For the "heather bezel" which is the legacy-inspired setting in 18k white gold I was quoted $2850. That was in July.

I am not sure how much the "Emily" setting is because I only inquired about "Heather."

Hi there

Thank you for checking this for me.

Appreciate it.
