So, if you’re like me, you spent COUNTLESS hours looking for the perfect diamond.

I ended up purchasing from James Allen. I noticed that they don’t show you the GIA # on their website but I went with my gut and ordered from them anyways.

of course, I did this after I ordered but I went on Yelp and looked them up because I was skeptical of their millions of 5 star reviews on their website, and was shocked to see MANY 1 start reviews on Yelp (most had to do with Pave settings having diamonds falling out, time to receive ring and craftsmanship.

so, this leads me to my question:

once I receive my James Allen engagement ring, how can I verify that the diamond in the ring I get is the same one that I ordered and paid for?

I picked a 1.10 carat, J, IF, Cut: GIA triple excellent with medium flouresence, I know all of the dimensions too including the depth, table, pavilion, crown, etc.

If it is inscribed, I would think a loupe will allow you to verify the GIA inscription matches the diamond to the certificate. An appraisal will also give you piece of mind

Did you ask for the GIA# and report before you bought?

Ditto @m-cubed ...can you post the GIA report? Did you evaluate the stones cut or did you order without it?
