Hi everyone,

I'm debating between getting the Vatche Swan setting or a replica of the Tiffiany Classic Solitaire. I love both of them...which one do you prefer???

Vatche Swan or Tiffany Classic Solitaire??

(I haven't quite figured out how to post pictures in the post, otherwise, I would have posted pics of both of them)

Any input would be greatly appreciated!!

They''re both beautiful settings, but I''d take the Tiffany Classic.

Yup - the Tiffany.

swan.

Tiffany because I think the Swan will have rubbing problems with the wedding band because the head appears to stick out farther at the base than the Tiffany does.

Thanks for your responses!! I am soo confused and unsure about which is the best setting for me. I absolutely love the Vatche Swan, however, I have some concerns about the wedding band, such as rubbing like diamondseeker mentioned, and also that the wedding band wouldn''t sit flush with the engagement ring. I wasn''t even considering a replica Tiffany, however, I happened to stop by their store yesterday and was tempted to try some rings on. It was then that I started to love the simplicity and elegance of the Tiffany setting. Thanks for your help..I have a HUGE decision to make!! Any other ring suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

Hi diamondseeker, both of those settings are beautiful as well. I''m leaning more towards a 6 prong setting though.

I don''t think you can go wrong with the Tiffany. It is classic and timeless and you could always get a real Tiffany wedding band to go with it!

I personally love the appearnace of the Swan the best, but if you are concerned about rubbing and a wedding band sitting flush I would check out the sleek line DS mentioned! The classic tiff setting is always beautiful, but I''m not as huge of a fan of the setting as most people are.

SWAN!
Elegance with a twist !!
The tiffany is just so..well... too common!!

Thanks again for your responses. beau I agree with you about the Tiffany being very common. I think I need to go back to GOG to try on the Swan again!! I think the next time I go to try it on I will try on some wedding bands to get an idea of how the Swan will look with a wedding band. Thanks again!

I like the Tiffany setting best; they are both beautiful though so which ever you choose will be gorgeous!

Oh, crazy me! Did you try on Mark Morrell''s Flame setting at GOG? It is 6 prongs and I think it is gorgeous!

diamondseeker - Yes I have tried on Mark Morrell''s Flame setting, it''s absolutely beautiful. That setting was actually my favorite for a while. However, a few months ago I fell in love with the Swan after trying it on (I just have a couple of concerns with it as I mentioned above). The Flame is gorgeous though!!

Vatche does make a matching wedding band for the Swan. I have it plain but I think it can be done with pave as well. Ask Jon when you go back to retry the Swan.

Annie, thanks for posting that wedding band. I will definately check it out when I to try on the Swan once again. The only thing is that I think I may want to get a straight band so that I can wear the wedding band alone. Decisions decisions!!! Thanks again!
