Vatche Pricing

I think one of the top contenders for a setting that we both like is the Vatche 3 round stone truffle design in platinum. We''re looking to put a 1.25 in the center, with the side stones being somewhere in the .3 to .5 range. The problem is, when I look at the pricing of the Vatche settings, they seem to already have the side stones set, and they''re g/h-SIs, but we really want F-VSs. I haven''t had much luck trying to find out how much the Vatche setting would cost without the side stones, or even if its available at all. And even the prices online seem to make a HUGE jump when you go from the 1 carat to 1.25 center stone. I''ve emailed a few of the online dealers hoping that one of them might give me a quote, or at least tell me if it''s possible, but nobody has yet to write me back. Does anybody have any suggestions on finding out how much this setting would be, or if it''s even an option? I''m about to give up on Vatche, especially since I''ve never been able to see one (the three stone setting, anyway) in person.

The prices jump at the quarter mark. Look for diamonds that weigh 1.23 to 1.24 you should see a savings and the difference in look might be as thick as your hair.

There are plenty of mountings that look like Vatch'e. Some are made better and some are not, its easy to see junk.

You should see the product first. Dont get caught up in the name hype.

Vatche makes a nice product and any of the vendors can have any stones that you want set into the rings. It is not necessary to buy the rings with existing side stones. I have done it several times for my clients.

D. Vatche will upgrade the quality of the side stones upon request and for an additional fee of course, any D. Vatche authorized dealer - including ourselves - can assist you with pricing and may be able to send you out the demo setting for viewing with a credit card deposit, we do it all the time... Note that pricing will essentially be the same from dealer to dealer because D. Vatche sets the selling price for their production and they insist on sourcing the side stones themselves so it is not possible to have complete control over the selection of the side stones but at least you can get the ring made to the color and clarity combination that you prefer...
