A beautiful ring to seal a beautiful union. She will wear it in health for many years to come...!
I think Larry really did a fabulous job on your ring. It''s a true heirloom for sure.
The 484 with the #4 head is pictured on VC''s site but your photos give a better idea of the ring''s delicacy. Can''t wait to see it united with the matching wedding band.
Friends, thank you so much for the compliments! We love the rings and are glad you do too. I'll post a few more pics tonight when I get home from work!
Deelight - Believe it or not when I first started my search I didn't know anything at all about diamonds or rings. I was thinking RB + Tiffany setting. But those didn't really speak to me, and my girlfriend expressed a preference for cushions, so it all went downhill from there
Luckily I found Pricescope, and eventually Mark, and flew out to see him. Everyone who saw the stone said it'd look great in a more vintage / antique setting, which does fit our fashion sense. As soon as I went to VC and met with Larry, I knew that was it. I placed my order the same day.
They really have a timeless look, which is what drew me to VC. I hope they become a heirloom!
Jess - my FI told me last night she never wants to take it off, even when she goes to shower! She absolutely LOVES the ring. Which makes me even more happy, because I love it too!
Lexie - I used a dSLR - Pentax K10D.
The black macro shots were mainly done with a Tamron 70-300 at 180mm in macro setting. It's not a true macro lens, but that's all I had to work with. The handshots were made with a Sigma 18-50 2.8 at 50mm, around 5.6 aperature, no flash, just available light from the window.
I like my particular camera just fine, but these images can be done with any SLR. One tip - use manual focus!
The more VC pieces I see the more I love them!
That is a truly stunning ring, you did a wonderful job picking that for your lovely fiance! Congratulations on your engagement!
Ahhh, I''ve been so looking forward to seeing your FI''s ring! It''s pure heaven! Spectacular cushion and spectacular setting. Congratulations on your engagement and on pulling together a trifecta of stone, setting and proposal!
