I really want a tiara. Preferably one that can be converted into a necklace, has a removable pendant/pin, etc. What would I do with a tiara? Absolutely nothing. But I think they are so cool and I love how some of them can be taken apart in so many different ways.

What useless thing do you lust for? Don't restrict yourself to jewelry.

Uhm . . . diamonds.

I want a Kitchrn Aid mixer and I don't bake nor will I ever. I don't know. Can't help it.

A smaller waist?

Overdyed rug like these http://decor8blog.com/2010/11/10/over-dyed-vintage-carpet-trend/

Only we can't have rugs of any kind (thanks Four-legged family members!). I also have a related crush on this towel. http://www.calypsostbarth.com/Casbah-Towel-p-18674.html But not the price. GOOD GRIEF.

Love those rugs and towels! My rug-obsessed friend and I decided we just need to hang rugs on our walls when we run out of floor space, and then I found this picture and it actually looks awesome! If you hang it up high enough the cats can't even scratch it!

A complete of Louis Vuitton luggage, the new stuff, with wheels and all. And a Chanel duffel bag to strap to the top. :cheeky:

But I rarely travel . . .

Also, please put me down for a tiara too! With lots of marquise cut diamonds poking out of it in a snowflake pattern.

I guess I want a Snow Queen tiara? Even though I rarely see snow?

Yup, I wanz dat! :praise:

As for me, right now I'm on a blanket kick. I have one coming my way for Xmas (I'll attach a pic), and I'm trying to resist buying myself the other two, seeing as how I only have two beds. Maybe I should just buy another bed?

I really, really want a miniature horse. Not that they're useless but they're totally impractical for where I live.

Ooohhh, speaking of tiaras, I'd love to own Kate Middleton's tiara. It's gorgeous. Think she'd loan it to me?

Would they be more practical in a different climate? If so, move there! :cheeky: Hahaha I LOVE miniature horses!

I was thinking of the city and the development I live in. There was actually a miniature horse in my state who became famous a few years ago because he was thought to be the world's smallest horse. Einstein's his name.

Out of curiosity... what purpose do miniature horses serve? (Really! I am a city girl... I thought miniature horses were just cute looking  )

I went to an Amish street fair thing and they had miniature horses pulling a miniature carriage (kids could pay to ride in it), and a cute little Amish boy was in charge of the mini horses! It was adorable!

They look great on a kitchen counter Danny. You never know. You might use it to whip mashed potatoes or make homemade whipped cream (which is very yummy. I used to make it often to top different desserts).

A burro. I've wanted a burro forever & ever. If I had one, I'd get worried it was lonesome, so I'd end up with at least another. Don't know what I'd do with them but I need a burro.

LOLOL, now I want to lounge with a book, a blanket over my lap in a reading nook with a rug hanging on the wall while wearing a tiara (after all, why not?) and gazing out the window at my adorable miniature horses. LV trunks make good side tables, right? I may need a moroccan tiled mirror somewhere nearby in which to admire tiara. Oh, and I wouldn't be opposed to someone in the next room whipping up something delicious on the mixer.

I have a few:

Kitchen Aid Mixer - in grey. I do bake, but my little handheld at 1/20th of the price works perfectly fine. I still want the KA though.

Coffee maker - don't know what brand, I dare not look because I'd walk out with a $200 one that grinds, brews, has a timer, and an insulated pot. I currently own several different coffee making devices, but sure why a filter coffee machine is so appealing.

A dyson - just because. I think I like the name!

Victorian book slide - for when all my bookcases aren't enough! They are pretty!

Goats! I totally want a pair of pygmy goats. They are so freaking cute!

You'll have to ask the Queen since she owns it! She lent it to Kate for the wedding - it's the Royal Family's 'starter tiara'...

Actually, a tiara is very high on my wish-list. At least here there are occasions on which tiaras are worn...

My biggest problem is defining useless...

Home jewelry! ...I need a chandelier.

LOL Coati! As far as home stuff goes, I really want a fireplace. We don't have one now and I would love to put one in. I don't know if I can define that as useless, though, since it would provide some heat (and allow us to run gas to the house!).

Ha! I love it, Lady_Disdain! You are invited, and he can bring us cake and tend the pygmy goats. Perhaps the Dyson has some sort of attachment to clean that intricate chandelier?

I get to wear a tiara daily! In my classroom, my students know they can't interrupt Her Royal Majesty whenever the tiara is on. It comes in handy when I'm running guided reading groups because it's a visual reminder to the rest of the class not to interrupt reading groups. It's also a sanity saver when I desperately need to have at least 30 seconds before I hear one of the kids say my name!

I strongly feel that everyone could get a lot of use out of a tiara!

Chandeliers. I can't think of a room where a fabulous sconce, chandelier, or other elaborate piece of lighting art wouldn't be appropriate. Over the bath tub, in the kitchen, in the bedroom, etc etc. Dear SO tends to agree... so maybe one day. Light fixtures are obscenely expensive...

A >300 gal fishtank. Built into the wall. Automated. Frag tanks. Quarantine tanks. Full fish room.

Aquatic treadmill for the dog. I fear I'm killing his joints with all the running/walking. Reality check: this is ridiculous!

Fountain pens. Lots of them.

Maybe someone will bid for this tiara: http://www.christies.com/lotfinder/the-mike-todd-diamond-tiara-an/5507954/lot/lot_details.aspx?from=salesummary&intObjectID=5507954&sid=829dd191-38cf-42b5-8d97-30f3d58c862a
