Urgent! Need help deciding between 2 halo styles!

Love the petals so my vote is for the SK. Maybe if you think the petals on the ring you posted are a bit too much you could have it made without the marquise diamonds in the middle, like Boom's beautiful ring or just have plain metal petals, like Lil Misfit's gorgeous tourmaline ring:

Could you have VC make the ring and add petals so that you have the best of both worlds? Or is this not something that he will do?

E-mailed VC last night and he will do petals. He recommended using pear shape diamonds for the petals instead of marquis. I do like the look of the petals being filled in. Any opinions on pear diamonds for the petals rather than marquis?

I like the pear idea. I like pears better than marquise and it would be more unique to you. VC does CADS right so you can
see how the fat ends of the pears will sit together?

I think pears as petals could look good. I assume the fat end would go up near the halo (would this look like hearts)? Personally I think marquise would look a teensy bit better, but after having worked with Victor, I'd take his recommendation. He probably has a good technical reason for making it.

As much as I love a good petal motif, ease of access to the underside of the diamond for *cleaning* is a major consideration for me. Thus, I'll have to cast my vote for the VC.

I'm still in the no petal camp! (but going with VC) I see that setting as more classic over time.

I have decided to go with VC and I am waiting on a call back to discuss the design. I just want to talk to him about the petal options but I think the Emilya is gorgeous. I think VC has the superior halo which is ultimately most important to me! Sooo excited! Everyone on PS has been such a huge help!!!

Get his take on the classic vs trendy of the petals. Being in the 'biz', he may have some thoughts on that. Eager to hear how it goes....
