Upgraded EC

I went shopping to upgrade a sapphire or two but this pretty EC kept sparkling at me from inside the case saying "pick me, pick me". So naturally that is what I did. The jeweler was nice enough to mount the new diamond that day so it wouldn't have to be mailed to me.

Diamond stats: E VS1 1.21 carat, 7.02 x 5.38 x 3.49 mm, depth 64.9%, table 63%, medium blue fluorescence

The ring has .27 ctw baguettes

Thank you Rockinruby. It was a fun morning in the jewelry store. Their loose sapphires were really picked over for Christmas. I’d between through the show room about 3 times and even through the plastic gem box inside the glass case this diamond keep sparkling at me. I’ve wanted to upgrade my EC for awhile but I since I wanted to go up in clarity, color and carat I knew it was going to be pricey. I had them pull out this diamond and a F VS2 1.23 carat. The F was nice but didn’t compare to cut in the E.

Marcy, you know how much I love your new EC. The facets are so crisp and clear and fiery and icy white all at the same time. Endless facets that go on and on and on...Really a fantastic upgrade all around.

Thank you Diamondseeker, I know you pay for E color but I like it too. I had a 1/2 carat AGS ering about 9 years ago and I was hooked on colorless then.
