I can''t believe it is such a giant diamond and set IN WHITE GOLD!!! Why not platinum; I think if they sprang for platinum it would for sure break the piggie bank. LOL!

that high karat gold would be too soft, I cannot imagine Chopard not using platinum...could be an error in the article. What a ring though!

Being a diamond freak I am, I noticed that Liz had her ering redone b4 her wedding.. The prongs are the same as before but it didnt have the diamond pave.. I guess she wanted more bling!

Maybe they hinge open somehow? I got them ON, it was getting off that nearly had me in tears. I kept pushing my thumb as close to my palm as I could and it left welts on me. I think the company makes a bigger diameter thankfully or I will need WD-40 to get them off my wrist.

As I look at Liz''s asscher...unless it is just dirty, I must say it is not that gorgeous to me in the photos. I would expect more from a Chopard ring...

I'm so with you guys! I loooooathe Posh Spice. It's nice to see some like-minded people here. (on tPF, people worship her! I can't figure it out) She's TACKY, and what's worse -- OBLIVIOUS to how tacky she is! The antithesis of classy.

She's homely: something about her nose and mouth just makes her look, I dunno, ape-like. Her features are just not refined at all, and she's so icky gaunt. And the fact that she NEVER smiles makes her even less attractive.

She's plastic: those boobs are so round and hard they could be softballs. And I hate how she highlights them with super low-cut tops as if she's proud of how they look! Does she have any idea how fake and unsexy they look? Not to mention sitting up there right underneath her chin.

She's orange: she really needs to stop with the Mystic Tan.

She's pretentious: always decked out only in the most (hookerish) haute couture and then striking all these dramatic, frowning poses for photographers, as if she is some great beauty icon.

She hasn't demonstrated any intelligence or talent.

I guess the only good thing about her is that she seems like an attentive mother....well, when she's not out shopping, fine-dining, or pretending to hate all the paparazzi attention. OK, rant over! It feels good to say here all the things about Posh that I want to on tPF but am too chicken!

Sorry to come in so late but the reason VB doesn't smile (according to her) is because when she does her nose looks like a pigs nose... lol.......

If you have a spare few minutes you could watch this - she smiles a LOT! It was done for Comic Relief a few years in the UK. (Don't watch it if the kids are around!!!)

I agree! BUT, I also feel that sometimes a big diamond is worn wrongly by someone. To me, Victoria Beckham doesn''t have the personality, body frame or style to do this pear ring justice. Now, someone like Elizabeth Taylor? She would so rock this ring!

CHOPARD was the lucky jeweller responsible for making Elizabeth Hurley''s enormous engagement ring, which she wore to wed Arun Nayer on Saturday at Sudeley Castle. The Assher cut 15.09 carat diamond, set in white gold and surrounded by a pave-set band, was bought by the couple from the "Haute Joallerie" collection at Chopard''s Bond Street store. It''s not the most exciting ring design I''ve ever seen but it''s hard to fault the brilliance of Elizabeth Hurley''s massive engagement ring. Vogue UK points us to a pic of the Chopard ring that Arun Nayer gave to her. It features a 15.09 carat Asscher cut diamond in a white gold setting with pave diamonds along the shank. The ring is from Chopard''s Haute Joallerie collection and Chopard is also behind Hurley''s wedding band of 20 square cut diamonds set in white gold.

Ditto. I just think that pear is too big. And I LOVE PEARS! And big diamonds! But that stone is not attractive in that ring to me at all.
