Hello all,
I''m back! It''s been quite a while since I last visited the forum. This was my original posting, back in April https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/split-shank-pave-diamond-setting.61333/ I was trying to re-create a ring we saw in a local store. She wants a cushion-cut sapphire as the center stone.
So I wanted to give you all an update and see what you think. After doing some serious research, I purchased a 2.12 ct. cushion cut Sapphire (will have to post a pic of it). I was very happy with my purchase and now had to decide who should create the ring. I spoke with several designers and ended up going with one of our local jewlers, who has a custom design department.
We have just completed the CAD-cam stage and I viewed the wax model last night. We are pretty close to sending it for metal work. Of course, the CAD-cam designs are a little rough and chunky, but it gives you a good idea on the finished product.
How''s it look? Looking to pop the question sometime in September. I''m now switching to "proposal-idea" mindframe.
Hope everyone is well!
Chris
