Is there a reason you don't want oiling?

I just ask because it is so common that it assumed that an emerald will be oiled. When the miners collect the rough they normally have a little bag/bottle of oil and all the stones are tossed in there as a matter of course so it has probably been exposed to oil at some point anyway.

Personally I don't have a problem with fillers either - they don't actually need to be disclosed either - IIRC Opticon is the exception. I certainly wouldn't pay the premium for untreated.

Interesting article here: http://www.ruby-sapphire.com/cloak-dagger-opticon.htm

Okay no luck so far, I have a negative response again..now I would want to direct my search on a sky blue unheated sapphire (custom cut). Can I have some suggestions? Thanx

Best to start a new thread or people will continue to think you are looking for a Colombian emerald.
