Unique, interesting, or just plain odd stones...Post them here!

NO!
Maybe it'll come back. Or maybe you'll surprise us with something else delightfully different.

Well, hopefully it is unavailable because my purchase went through, I guess we'll wait and see. Meanwhile, I need to sell some stuff.

More oddities:

One similar to what @MMtwo bought

I have to admit that site annoys me because I cannot see the moving pictures. The one on the bottom is a twin!

I love that! ...and a strong blue. <3

Well, DHL lost my little OMC purchased from 1st Dibs, "deemed lost." Someone else's good news is balm for my soul.
Lookin' forward to pictures!

I'm going to will the universe to get it to you. Don't give up yet.
I received a birthday card two weeks ago, mailed 6 weeks before. Things happen.

I have no idea what is happening with this stone

I wonder how some of these odd-ball cuts come into existence. If you were going to experiment, wouldn't one use a LGD?

I have some colored stones with cuts of this mixed step/brilliant variety. It looks really odd on a diamond, though, since the diamond doesn't have the same saturation and color contrast that a colored stone does. I can certainly say that I don't' like the way it looks on a diamond and don't think it would accentuate the positive attributes of a diamond. Looks nice on a stone like amethyst

I feel like its almost an attempt at a tiffany "true" type cut that just failed miserably

Mmmmmm.... I gotta confess... I kinda like it...

I like it in theory, but when I see it move I like it less. I think because the top feels splintery to me. But it's one of those things that I like bc Its weird so I keep coming back to look haha

I am liking that last one but I can't get video to work

So since this one was showing as available a few minutes ago I assume no one else wanted it, so I went ahead and purchased it. Not a lot of money and assuming no huge bow tie, I will probably like it as I do like the cut.

Yayyyy cant wait to see pics

It’s here!

It does not look like I had imagined at all. Under a loupe I can verify it is the same diamond. However, it has so much inner reflection is it both pretty bright and a crushed ice look. It is a j .70 si1. Eyeclean (i mean what is going to show up in crushed ice?). Strong Fluorescence because that is fun too. I threw it into the cheapest Ritani setting, but it is still a nice setting. Bigger than I anticipated for a .70. A fun option to wear and I did want another smaller mined diamond option.

My wedding ring does not match, hubby is sleeping and my selections are behind closed doors.

Also, does not get ugly outside under UV (whew).E9D3B3B0-A7A4-4A86-A435-0BDE330B6758.jpeg
