So it’s been a while since I posted a thread on new jewelry and I have acquired a few things for sure. But I just received this absolutely beautiful ring just in time for my 50th birthday tomorrow and it deserves its own thread.
It’s a 1.9 unheated opalescent pinkish purple sapphire in a rose gold flower 3D design and I just love it. It’s has light pink spinels in the petals.
The ring has this marvelous glow. I know it’s not the best sapphire out there and there are plenty of far more superior sapphires but there’s just something about this stone that is so mesmerizing and the setting is perfectly designed for it. It just seemed to call out to me.
I saw this ring months ago on IG and had considered purchasing it but I had bought a Ruby ring already. Coincidently the flower design is one I used draw all the time as child. It’s so strange to to see a design I used to draw all the time as a child on a ring that I now own. The ring was sold to someone here on PS. She posted it for sale here and now it’s mine.
So beautiful! It’s a little big for me so I’m wearing it with a Tiffany bezet band and a Diamond Simon G band. I may send it to DK to have it sized for my middle finger.

the entire ring is just beautiful.
I think opalescent sapphires are really underrated and they're going to become the thing. I love that there are so many color variations.
