.82 VVS2 J in Ritani knife shank solitaire in 18k yellow gold, 6 prong on a size 6.5 finger. The stone is just shy of 6mm and a 1.5 on HCA with a 57% table and 35/40.8 combo. The band is a LT rehoming. I want to upgrade to a CBI when the budget allows.

Adding my CBI to this lovely thread! It’s H/.41ct/vs1, in the Ritani knife edge setting (14k unplated white gold), size 5.5. I’m extremely happy and so pleased to be part of the CBI family!

@Jsand SO pretty AND you are in that Ritani yellow gold knife too :) <3 I'll join the family soon!

mine is unplated white! But I’m going to get it rhodium plated I think.
I love the simplicity of our setting. Was planning on a fancier one when I upgrade but I may just go with this again.

Ahhh, that soft yellow of unplated is so pretty. They make the ring in proportion to the stone size. As your stone grows, the setting will stay perfectly balanced. I asked them about reusing my ring when I upgrade and they do not do that. They will recast for the new diamond. Great quality and simplicity is so beautiful. I'm sticking with a solitaire at upgrade too.

That’s interesting! Makes sense. I was almost expecting the 6 prongs to overpower my little diamond but they don’t at all (imo).

I can finally share! My fiancé proposed a few months ago after we've been looking at engagement rings for over a year! We decided on a simple solitaire with a detailed basket and I am so in love. It is 0.9 ct, G, SI2. Also, sorry for the iPhone photos :mrgreen2: 05CB20FC-B3F3-4AB2-8EA7-9C8DC511C105_1_201_a.jpeg Screen Shot 2019-10-17 at 10.03.23 AM.png

That's one perfect ring, @jmeeatworld! Could you pls share with us your finger size, so we have a sense of proportion?

Congratulations on your engagement and your lovely new ring!

I’m new here, this is my first post!

Here is my .70 princess cut

H color and vs1

I actually just had it reset. I love the simplicity of it now, but I’m still pretty insecure about how large I feel my fingers are in comparison!
(This ring is 6.5, but I think it should be a little larger, like a 7)
I’m including a pic of my old chunky setting as well. I only wore the one ring for nearly 20 years without a band so I’m trying different bands now to see if that helps give me some more coverage, without making the stone look smaller.

Oh I love your reset! Really highlights that pretty diamond. I agree that bands can give a bit more hand presence. I like the one you posted. Have fun trying out different bands and enjoy your reset!

Your reset is gorgeous! In regards to band, something to consider is a very thin plain spacer band between the engagement ring and the wedding band. I have found that that can make the center stone pop.

Thank you! I think I have that combination here. Lol I keep obsessing over it and trying various bands, etc. I think my problem too is the ring feels a little tight and is giving me “finger muffin top” 799BCAAC-FFCA-4788-9035-2D5199C12853.jpeg

Hi all,

I love all of your elegant beautiful rings and have decided to appreciate what I have instead of constantly upgrading. Here is my latest wedding set upgrade after 10 awesome years of being married.
I’m not too sure of the specs. I just know its 1/2ct
