The center diamond was my mother’s (she sadly died before I was married). She had dated my father since her early teens and when they decided to get married, my grandmother, who worked for a jeweler, brought home a bag of loose diamonds from which my mother and father could choose her diamond.

This diamond was the smallest (.56 clt) but it is very clean (vvs1) and they decided it was “perfect like their love”.

When I became engaged my husband added the other diamonds and I wear my mother’s anniversary band as my wedding band.

Obviously it is priceless to me for sentimental reasons but it’s also just lovely. Sparkles like crazy. I get compliments all the time and I’m so happy it’s mine!

My photography needs so help...can’t seem to get it right!

Your set is SO beautiful @Hammieboy!!! I can tell those diamonds sparkle like mad just from the picture. Such a beautiful story too, I felt a glitch in my heart as I read it. So wonderful to have this special reminder of your mother. I am so sorry for your loss, (((hugs)))

This page helped me choose my
Center stone so I thought I’d share my new baby!!
Both rings are from James Allen
E-Ring is a .65 K VS2 Gia triple X and my finger size is a size 7. Still deciding if the 6 prong fits this stone. Some days I love it others I think it overpowers the stone.

The ascher is a .5 IF, D excellent cut & polish. I bought it as a forever reminder of my once in a life time horse when I put her down after 23 years as part of my life.

I set it along side a small alexandrite in an open ring. Went with the changeable alexandrite as the horse in question was one who had two different personalities. In the barn she was a laid back, fat and happy, lazy dog type. Carrots and apples were her life.

Put her in front of a giant jump and she turned into a fierce, fire breathing dragon who could and would jump anything you put I front of her, at speed, never putting a good wrong.

Very nice. I had a mare like this when I was a teenager. She's long since passed. Even looked similar, bay mare with a small star.

My current is my heart horse of my lifetime though. He'll be with me forever.

Here are some pics of my my current e-ring. (excuse all the dirty pine needles in my pool lol)I had a appraiser look at it under a loop and told me it’s a very good diamond. Only stats I know is it’s .79 carat,F color (on the higher end!) VS1.
After they cleaned her up wow what a difference! I must admit I’m so bad with keeping it sparkly.

Unfortunately I never met him as he passed away before I met my husband. I don’t know much about the diamond other then a jewel told me it’s about .65 cts . I had it set into a 14k gold 3 stone semi mount and purchased the sapphires to go with it.

The Asscher is an IF, .5 D excellent cut, polish and symmetry. Bought as a life event marked last year. Just got back it’s forever home in a bezel, by-pass pinky ring. It’s the same stone that was in the open rose gold ring.
