It sounds like you made a great choice and I am glad you took your time and waited to find a really nice one! Please do come back with pictures!

Thats fantastic! Such great news! :))

Thank you gypsy, diamondseeker and 2023. I hope I've picked a good one ;)

Diamondseeker, I will post pics (will have to learn how) if I can handle the camera well enough to snap good photos of the ring ;))

2023, I've read with interest your on-going thread on HCA, AGS and GIA. Like most newbies, I ran every diamond I came across (and liked) through the HCA and felt completely overwhelmed because some stones looked good to me but received 'bad' scores on the HCA. I scoured pricescope threads on what others thought about stones with >2 HCA scores and finally decided I will not limit myself only to those under 2s (to save myself sleepless nights :D )

The HCA, AGS and GIA thread led me to another one about 34/41 crown and pavilion angles (which you referenced in your thread). It also touched on 35/41 combos and my stone happens to have this combination. While my stone looks really pretty to me, now I'm just wondering if perhaps I've been too hasty in 'pulling the trigger' as PSers put it. I'm also hesitant in putting down the proportions here for fear that I'll be told that I could have found a better one than what I've purchased. BUT....what's done is done and I'm going to love my stone no matter what because it's a gift from my husband marking a very significant milestone in our marriage  (working some psychology on myself here! )

Hope this will not be the only diamond I'll own :naughty: and the next time I hope to be sufficiently well-armed with enough info and knowledge from this forum to choose a winner, both IRL and on paper :D

Btw, has anyone heard of the brand NORDIC FIRE?

Will be getting the ring on Weds. Can't wait, yet also very nervous!

Thanks Mesmei for reading my thread :))
I am so happy and delighted for you and it's so important that people who make a valuable diamond purchase that means something as significant as a 20th anniversary be so happy and delighted that the diamond is beautiful.

You and your husband both independently picked a beautiful stone, don't worry.

Congratulations and enjoy :))

Finally picked up my ring yesterday :appl: It's got DH's and my initials, the date of our anniversary, and the words '20 YEARS' engraved on the inside of the band.

Took some photos to share. Thanks for viewing! :))

After all the pros and cons of a stone have been weighed out, the most important aspect is that you love it. Your ring is lovely and I hope you enjoy it every day! Congrats on 20 years and best wishes for many more to come!

Looks beautiful to me!!

Thank you for your vote and your well wishes =)

Would you believe it that I'm already toying with the idea of an upgrade! Hmmph! women!(or possibly just me)  Anyhow, the company from which we bought the ring has given us the option to upgrade the stone, without any loss in purchase price, as long as it's done within 12 months from date of purchase. DH knows this... ;) and while I know we can't afford a one carat (which would be double the price I paid for this one), I'm thinking perhaps something just below 1 carat. But that's another project and possibly another thread.

Thank you so much for the pictures! It looks great on you! And congratulations on 20 years!!

Laila and Gypsy, thank you! It means a lot to have PS regulars give their positive votes on my ring. Gives me confidence that I've made a good call. May not be the best, but a good call nonetheless! :))
