Uh-oh I think I want to reset my blue-green ring...

BEG,
Do you want to redo it because the bezel itself doesn''t really look delicate enough? Is it really the diamond halo that''s bugging you? My stone is set in a similar "chuncky" bezel, and I would redo it except for the fact that I love the stone in a bezel, any bezel. That being said, the plating on my bezel wasn''t replated, and I love the seafoam color in there.

I love that stone but personally ... I would just go with a simple setting instead of the JM settings (gorgeous though). The stone feels very feminine, young, and fresh to me as such .. I feel that it will be beautiful in a simple pave band and gorgeou thin double prongs or perhaps with a thin halo. If I saw it in a bezel, I would go for something like NeatFreak''s e-ring.

You know, upon further thinking I agree with Charmy. I think I would prefer a more minimalist bezel with that gorgeous stone, keeping attention where it belongs! Fresh and clean.

Um well the halo is one thing, but I think it''s just really the overall effect. It''s looking rather big and costume jewelry-ish on me, which is pretty much the main reason for wanting to reset.

I thought about that. One of the reasons I opted not to was that (and I may be totally weird lol) I felt the color could too easily look...costumeish? in certain settings (and this is my feeling only). Like, I guess I want some weight to it (the entire ring) because I feel like I''ve definitely seen similar shades of cheapie plastic rings, etc. I''m confused, I''m going to be quiet now.

My other concern is that if I did this I''d want to reset again in the future

I am sure you will find the perfect setting for the stone that suits your taste. But don''t forget .. you have so many beautiful stones and each one needs a setting!

Very true! I''m on a setting kick now - some of them have been in my jewelry box for way too long
